This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Editor: HomeCare Media based in United States.

This is an entry-level editorial role for a deadline-driven writer and copy editor who enjoys learning, reporting, and turning complex topics into engaging content. You will contribute to print and digital publications serving professionals across the U.S. home care and medical equipment sector. The role combines copy editing, reporting, writing, newsletter production, SEO, social media, and editorial coordination. You will work closely with experienced editors and collaborate across a remote team to support monthly and digital content programs. The position offers hands-on exposure to industry news, longform journalism, trade events, and content production. It is well suited to someone with strong attention to detail, curiosity, and a genuine interest in developing a career in B2B media. You will have opportunities to take ownership of content while building valuable editorial, reporting, and digital publishing skills.

Accountabilities

  • Copy edit print and digital articles for magazines, websites, and newsletters, ensuring accuracy, clarity, grammar, spelling, and consistency.
  • Report, research, and write newsletter content approximately four to five times per week while supporting newsletter production.
  • Contribute to the development and production of a monthly magazine across both print and digital formats.
  • Collaborate with the editor-in-chief and editorial team on content direction, story development, and priorities for magazine and digital products.
  • Write bylined articles, internal content, and other editorial materials as needed.
  • Monitor press announcements, industry developments, and relevant news to identify potential stories and article leads.
  • Assist with social media content and other digital editorial activities.
  • Coordinate and compile recurring magazine sections, including industry news and longform content.
  • Support website SEO tagging, content organization, and archive management.
  • Conduct client outreach when requested by the sales team.
  • Attend virtual and in-person trade shows, conferences, and industry events, with some travel required.
  • Take on additional editorial and content-production responsibilities as business needs evolve.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant professional or internship experience in journalism, publishing, communications, content, or a related field.
  • Experience with copy editing, reporting, writing, or a combination of these skills.
  • Familiarity with AP style and strong command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and editorial standards.
  • Some experience with Adobe InDesign and WordPress, or comparable design and content management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a genuine enthusiasm for language, writing, and editing.
  • Curiosity and the ability to research, understand, and clearly explain complex or evolving industry topics.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and editorial assignments.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively while also taking ownership of tasks independently in a remote environment.
  • Energetic, adaptable, and willing to learn about a specialized professional industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competitive salary of $40,000–$42,000 per year.
  • Fully remote position within the United States, excluding California and limited to the lower 48 states.
