This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Analyst - I based in India.

This is an opportunity to support data-driven decision-making through reporting, analysis, and business intelligence. You’ll work with structured data to develop dashboards, reports, and preliminary insights that support operational needs. The role combines hands-on work in Tableau, SQL/T-SQL, Excel, and presentation development. You’ll collaborate with analysts and cross-functional partners to understand data requirements and deliver accurate outputs. You’ll also contribute to data quality, documentation, and the continuous improvement of reporting processes. The position is well suited to an early-career analyst looking to strengthen both technical and business-facing skills. You’ll work in a collaborative environment where attention to detail, clear communication, and reliable execution are highly valued.

Accountabilities

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of Tableau dashboards supporting operational reporting and business needs.
  • Participate in requirements-gathering sessions by documenting discussions, capturing action items, and organizing meeting outputs.
  • Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends and preliminary insights under the guidance of senior analysts.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear summaries, reports, and supporting materials for team review.
  • Write and execute basic T-SQL queries to extract and organize data from structured sources.
  • Create, maintain, and update Excel-based reports using formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
  • Support the preparation of PowerPoint presentations for internal reporting and program updates.
  • Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure timely delivery.
  • Perform data quality checks to validate the accuracy and consistency of information across reporting sources.
  • Contribute to documentation, including process notes, data dictionaries, workflow summaries, and other team resources.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or another related quantitative discipline.
  • 1–2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field; relevant internship experience may be considered.
  • Foundational knowledge of Tableau or a comparable data visualization platform, with coursework or project experience preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL/T-SQL for data querying, extraction, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic chart creation.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work while following structured processes and guidance.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple reporting and documentation tasks.
  • A willingness to learn, develop analytical capabilities, and work with guidance from more experienced team members.
  • Exposure to Python, PowerShell, or other scripting technologies is a plus but not required.
  • Fully remote, full-time opportunity based in India.
