The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a CAD, Polylining and Space Business Analyst based in India.

In this role, you will support the implementation and ongoing optimization of Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) and Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) platforms by delivering accurate CAD drawings, polylining services, and space data management. You will play a key role in connecting architectural drawings with digital facility management systems, ensuring reliable and consistent workplace information. Working across multiple client implementations, you will validate drawing quality, manage space identifiers, and maintain accurate room attributes and organizational data. You will collaborate remotely with international teams, including US-based stakeholders, to deliver high-quality technical solutions. The position combines hands-on CAD expertise, data analysis, quality assurance, and process improvement. You will also have opportunities to leverage AI tools and automation to streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency.

Accountabilities

  • Support the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of client CAFM/IWMS platforms, including enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review AutoCAD drawings and field redlines to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established drawing standards.
  • Perform CAD quality checks to identify missing or incorrect polylines, duplicate entities, gaps, overlaps, and other drawing inconsistencies.
  • Create and maintain architectural, floor, and polyline drawings, including room numbering, space labeling, unique space identifiers, and associated blocks.
  • Link polylines and SpaceID blocks to ensure accurate integration between CAD drawings and CAFM/IWMS platforms.
  • Publish and upload architectural, furniture, column, and background drawing files to client servers, maintaining master drawing libraries and version consistency.
  • Extract and validate space-related data from CAD drawings, including space codes, areas, coordinates, and room identifiers.
  • Populate and maintain space information within CAFM/IWMS platforms, including space categories, types, standards, room names, employee names, and organizational assignments.
  • Process field redlines and implement required updates to space attributes, room information, and organizational codes.
  • Maintain technical documentation, quality assurance checklists, and process records to support consistent delivery across projects.
  • Use AI-assisted tools and automation techniques to improve CAD quality checks, data analysis, technical documentation, and repetitive operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with distributed teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform other related duties as assigned.
  • A degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in CAD drafting, CAD/CAFM operations, space planning, or a related technical field.
  • Strong working knowledge of CAD, CAFM, and IWMS systems, with practical experience supporting implementations and using system data to deliver projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and a solid understanding of polylines, blocks, layers, external references (Xrefs), room numbering, area calculations, drawing cleanup, and CAD standards.
  • Demonstrated experience validating CAD drawings, identifying drawing inconsistencies, integrating drawings with CAFM/IWMS platforms, mapping space data, and linking identifiers with relevant attributes.
  • Experience publishing and uploading drawings, maintaining master drawing libraries, managing drawing versions, and ensuring data accuracy across connected systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word, with the ability to analyze data, prepare technical documentation, and maintain quality assurance records.
  • Practical ability to use Claude effectively for technical documentation, Excel-based analysis, drafting and troubleshooting AutoLISP or Python scripts, automating repetitive CAD and data-management tasks, and developing CAD quality assurance checklists.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, improve workflows, and enhance the quality and efficiency of technical operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly, concisely, and objectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work effectively with remote teams and international stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage competing priorities, and contribute to long-term client engagements.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance frameworks and continuous improvement practices.
  • Availability for immediate joining and the ability to work a 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST shift to overlap with US-based teams.
  • Remote work: Work from home while collaborating with international teams.
  • International exposure: Contribute to global client projects involving workplace technology, CAD, and facility management systems.
  • Technical development: Gain experience across IWMS/CAFM implementations, space data management, CAD quality assurance, and system enhancements.
  • AI and automation: Apply AI-assisted tools and scripting techniques to improve technical workflows and operational efficiency.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work with distributed teams on multiple implementations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work schedule: A defined 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST shift designed to facilitate collaboration with US-based teams.
  • Compensation and additional benefits: Salary, healthcare coverage, paid leave, and other benefits have not been specified in the available job details and should be confirmed during the recruitment process.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
