Combining business development, account management, and financial analysis, you will identify new opportunities, negotiate commercial programs, and maximize customer profitability. You will also use sales data and forecasting to guide decisions, improve performance, and strengthen long-term partnerships. This opportunity is ideal for a commercially minded professional who enjoys relationship building, strategic planning, and turning product innovation into measurable business results.

Accountabilities

  • Manage assigned customer accounts by presenting product assortments, serving as the primary point of contact for retail buyers, negotiating program terms, and coordinating customer onboarding.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, identify opportunities for account growth, and develop strategies to increase product placement, sales, and market share.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to introduce new products and innovations to target markets, contributing throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development and production to retail launch and sell-through.
  • Identify customer needs and commercial opportunities, working closely with research and development teams to develop products and programs that align with retail partner requirements.
  • Manage leads, sales opportunities, and customer interactions using Salesforce to maintain an organized pipeline and support effective account management.
  • Manage customer expense budgets and promotional investments, evaluating performance and maximizing return on investment.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational challenges, maintain compliance with customer requirements, and minimize chargebacks and related costs.
  • Develop sales forecasts, manage customer profit and loss (P&L) performance, monitor retail results, and prepare regular reports on account progress and business outcomes.
  • Attend relevant trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events to strengthen relationships, showcase products, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Support additional brand and product program management activities as needed, ensuring alignment between commercial objectives and operational execution.
  • Travel overnight as required, approximately 10% to 20% of the time, to support customer relationships, business development, and industry events.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline, and/or at least 10 years of sales and sales management experience. An equivalent combination of education and professional experience may also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, account management, business development, or channel management, preferably within consumer products, retail, or a related industry.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with retail buyers and key customer stakeholders, negotiate commercial agreements, and grow strategic accounts.
  • Experience identifying market opportunities, developing customer-specific sales programs, and coordinating product launches with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including the ability to manage customer budgets, evaluate return on investment, analyze sales performance, and oversee customer P&L results.
  • Familiarity with sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across sales, marketing, product development, research and development, and operations teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to resolve operational issues, manage competing priorities, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • A proactive, results-oriented approach to customer management, with the flexibility to respond to changing market conditions and customer needs.
  • Existing relationships with major mass-market retail accounts are a plus.
  • Ability to travel overnight approximately 10% to 20% of the time.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Bradford, Pennsylvania, is preferred. Remote candidates based in the Bradford, Pennsylvania area may also be considered.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
