This remote role serves as an important first point of contact for customers seeking guidance around retirement, insurance, savings, and investment solutions. You will engage with prospective customers across phone, video, and email while helping connect them with the right financial professional. The position combines customer service, consultative communication, needs assessment, and appointment coordination. You will gather customer information, understand their needs, and create profiles that support effective advisor matching. Success requires a persuasive yet approachable communication style, strong listening skills, and sound judgment. You will work in a collaborative virtual call-center environment with opportunities to build knowledge of financial products and customer engagement practices. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys helping people, managing multiple interactions, and creating positive customer experiences.
Accountabilities
- Serve as an initial point of contact for prospective customers seeking information about retirement, personal insurance, savings, and investment solutions.
- Handle customer interactions through phone, video, email, and other available communication channels.
- Introduce customers to the Advice Center and assess their needs to determine the appropriate advisor or next step.
- Gather relevant customer information and create accurate profiles to support effective needs assessment and advisor matching.
- Schedule appointments with advisors for straightforward and routine customer requests.
- Facilitate communication between customers and advisor teams to help ensure needs are addressed promptly.
- Escalate complex questions or situations to appropriately experienced team members.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of available products and services in order to communicate relevant value propositions to prospective customers.
- Deliver a professional, friendly, and consistent customer experience across all interactions.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues while managing multiple customer interactions and priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a friendly, professional, and persuasive manner.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to identify, understand, and assess customer needs.
- Professional presence and confidence when representing the organization in a virtual environment.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy and customer focus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and common workplace technology.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
- Availability to work varied shifts as required in a remote call-center environment.
- Base salary: Approximately $44,000–$46,000 annually, depending on qualifications, operational needs, and applicable compensation factors.
