The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Product Management based in India.

We are seeking a strategic and experienced product leader to guide product planning, development, and lifecycle management across multiple product lines. In this role, you will lead product teams and Product Owners, translating business objectives and customer needs into scalable product strategies and actionable roadmaps. You will work closely with engineering, design, quality assurance, sales, operations, and customer success teams to deliver innovative solutions through Agile practices. A key focus will be increasing product adoption, improving customer experience, driving revenue growth, and supporting strategic client acquisition. You will also represent regional business needs, ensuring product offerings align with local market requirements while contributing insights to global product strategy. This opportunity is ideal for a commercially minded, technically fluent leader who thrives in cross-functional environments and enjoys building products that deliver measurable business impact.

Accountabilities

  • Lead product strategy and lifecycle management: Own product planning, development, prioritization, and lifecycle management across multiple product lines, ensuring execution remains aligned with strategic objectives, business priorities, and product roadmaps.
  • Manage and develop product teams: Lead Product Owners and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Scrum Masters, architects, designers, and developers, to coordinate product delivery and achieve key milestones.
  • Translate business needs into product requirements: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into themes, epics, features, and actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Validate product specifications: Ensure product requirements and specifications accurately reflect stakeholder expectations, address business needs, and provide clear direction for design and development teams.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement: Assess existing products to identify opportunities for enhancement, innovation, reuse, and scalability. Encourage experimentation, iterative development, and learning from unsuccessful initiatives to improve product outcomes.
  • Improve customer experience and adoption: Use performance metrics, usability research, customer feedback, and market analysis to inform product decisions, improve satisfaction, and increase adoption across target markets.
  • Support commercial growth: Collaborate with sales, operations, customer success, solution specialists, technical experts, and partners to position existing and future product offerings, support strategic client acquisition, and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Communicate product capabilities: Develop and maintain product documentation, explain new features and functionality to end users, and ensure stakeholders understand product capabilities, changes, and business value.
  • Lead regional product alignment: Provide dedicated product leadership for assigned business areas, ensuring appropriate time-zone coverage, visibility into priorities, and alignment with local market requirements.
  • Represent regional stakeholder needs: Act as the primary product liaison for regional stakeholders, advocate for market-specific requirements, and ensure platforms and solutions are adapted to meet local business needs.
  • Contribute to global product strategy: Share regional insights, customer feedback, and market learnings with global product teams to inform roadmap decisions, strengthen cross-regional alignment, and support sustainable growth.
  • Promote effective Agile delivery: Apply practical Agile methodologies to coordinate teams, manage priorities, support iterative delivery, and maintain alignment between product strategy and execution.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced business degree is preferred.
  • Product management experience: At least 5 years of experience in a product management role supporting a product that generates more than $1 million in revenue within an organization generating more than $5 million in revenue.
  • Agile expertise: A minimum of 5 years of practical experience working with Agile methodologies within an organization, including experience operating in or supporting an Agile transformation. Demonstrated hands-on delivery experience is more important than certifications alone.
  • Technical fluency: Strong technical understanding and the ability to engage confidently with engineering teams, evaluate technical considerations, communicate product concepts, and motivate developers around product direction and priorities.
  • Product strategy and roadmap management: Proven ability to manage product roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, translate business goals into delivery plans, and balance customer needs with technical and commercial considerations.
  • Requirements and stakeholder management: Experience gathering and validating business requirements, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, managing product specifications, and collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Data-driven decision-making: Ability to interpret product performance metrics, customer feedback, usability findings, and market research to identify improvement opportunities and guide product decisions.
  • Productivity and planning tools: Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and familiarity with product roadmap and delivery tools such as Jira, Trello, or equivalent platforms.
  • Leadership and collaboration: Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to align multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities, and communicate product strategy clearly.
  • Commercial awareness: Understanding of how product decisions influence customer satisfaction, product adoption, revenue growth, and strategic client acquisition.
  • Regional and global perspective: Ability to understand local market needs, work across geographic locations and time zones, and communicate regional insights effectively to global product teams.
  • Preferred additional experience: Knowledge of automation, Lean Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies is an advantage.
  • Competitive benefits package: Access to competitive employee benefits, including medical and dental coverage, subject to applicable eligibility requirements.
  • Paid time off: Benefit from a paid time off program to support personal needs, rest, and work-life balance.
  • Volunteer opportunities: Access to a Volunteer Time Off policy that encourages participation in charitable and community activities, subject to eligibility requirements.
  • Professional development: Opportunities to develop leadership and product management skills through professional learning initiatives, including an award-winning development program.
  • Employee assistance: Access to a global Employee Assistance Program designed to provide support and resources for team members.
  • Inclusive employee community: Opportunities to connect with colleagues through employee impact groups and participate in employee experience events throughout the year.
  • Collaborative environment: Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across regions, contributing to product innovation, business growth, and customer success.
  • Career growth: Take on strategic product leadership responsibilities while helping shape roadmaps, improve product experiences, and influence business outcomes.
  • Compensation details: Specific salary information and the full benefits package should be confirmed during the hiring process.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
