The posting
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Full Stack QA Developer based in Canada.
In this role, you will take full ownership of quality assurance across assigned areas of an advanced financial trading platform spanning forex and crypto markets. Combining hands-on manual testing with test automation and release validation, you will play a critical role in ensuring platform performance, stability, and security. Operating in a fully remote environment, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA leadership to catch edge cases, validate complex trading workflows, and safeguard the end-user experience. You will also leverage modern AI productivity tools to boost testing efficiency and build reliable end-to-end automation frameworks. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented QA engineer who thrives in high-stakes fintech and enjoys taking true end-to-end ownership of product quality.
Accountabilities:
- End-to-End Testing: Conduct thorough testing across web applications, including functional, integration, API, regression, and exploratory testing methodologies.
- Requirements & Risk Review: Analyze product specifications and acceptance criteria to identify gaps, ambiguous behaviors, and potential quality risks early in development.
- Automation Development: Build and maintain scalable E2E automation test suites using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript, as well as API integration tests in Python.
- Flaky Test Resolution: Investigate failing or flaky tests, root-cause issues, and continuously improve automation suite reliability and execution speed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with software developers, product managers, and the QA Lead to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent defects.
- Release Validation: Validate pre-deployment releases and communicate outstanding risks clearly to stakeholders prior to launch.
- AI Tool Utilization: Integrate approved AI tools into your daily workflow to optimize test coverage, test case creation, and testing efficiency.
- Hands-On Testing Experience: Practical experience testing web applications using a mix of manual testing strategies and automated test frameworks.
- Technical Stack Expertise: Demonstrated experience with Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript for E2E testing, combined with Python proficiency for API integration testing.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid familiarity with trading products, financial market concepts, forex, or cryptocurrency platforms.
- Ownership & Autonomy: Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take full accountability for product quality beyond individual test cases.
- Communication & Precision: Strong attention to detail paired with clear, structured written communication skills.
- Language Proficiency: Native-level fluency in Russian along with English proficiency at B2 level or above.
- Competitive Compensation: Attractive salary package matching your technical experience and skill set.
- 100% Remote Flexibility: Fully remote work setup allowing you to balance work and personal life effectively.
- Modern Tech Stack: Opportunity to work with industry-standard QA automation tools (Playwright, Python) and approved AI tools.
- Impact & Ownership: High-trust environment where your contributions directly influence release quality and platform reliability.
- Collaborative Team: Work alongside experienced fintech professionals, engineers, and QA leaders.
