The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Learning Experience Developer based in the United States.

We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Learning Experience Developer to transform instructional designs and subject matter into engaging, high-quality digital learning experiences. In this role, you will develop interactive eLearning courses, virtual instructor-led training, multimedia content, and supporting educational materials for adult learners. You will collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver accessible, visually compelling, and effective learning solutions. By leveraging modern learning technologies, AI-powered tools, and multimedia design techniques, you will help enhance the quality, scalability, and innovation of professional development programs. You will also ensure that learning materials meet accessibility, branding, and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) compliance standards. This remote opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented learning professional who combines creativity, technical expertise, and strong project management skills to deliver impactful learning experiences.

Accountabilities

  • Develop interactive self-paced eLearning courses, virtual instructor-led training (vILT), and other learning formats using approved instructional designs, storyboards, and source materials, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and learner needs.
  • Create complementary learning resources, including presentation decks, facilitator guides, participant guides, pre-work activities, job aids, evaluation surveys, knowledge checks, and assessment tools.
  • Collaborate with learning designers, subject matter experts, and training leaders to refine and finalize training materials, apply branding standards, and transform partially developed content into polished learning experiences.
  • Design custom multimedia elements, interactive activities, motion graphics, and reusable learning components that improve engagement and support scalable training solutions.
  • Leverage generative AI and integrated AI tools to accelerate the development of scripts, assessments, graphics, videos, and job aids while maintaining accuracy, quality, and sound instructional practices.
  • Validate AI-generated content for factual accuracy, consistency, relevance, and compliance with internal standards, and share insights and recommendations regarding emerging AI capabilities with the learning team.
  • Develop and implement Continuing Professional Education (CPE) components, including review questions, explanatory feedback, interactive polls, engagement activities, and final assessments, in accordance with applicable NASBA and AICPA standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive course documentation, including word counts, CPE calculations, assessment materials, and development records, to support compliance reviews and audit readiness.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance checks before course release, ensuring accessibility, content accuracy, functionality, visual consistency, and adherence to branding guidelines.
  • Work with Learning Operations to publish SCORM packages, test course functionality within the learning management system (LMS), and verify accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Develop reusable templates, design components, and multimedia assets that improve production efficiency, consistency, and scalability across learning programs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging learning technologies, and development tools, recommending practical improvements to the team's technology toolkit.
  • Coordinate with instructional design specialists and subject matter experts to gather content, manage feedback and review cycles, and ensure deliverables remain aligned with approved learning strategies.
  • Communicate content gaps, dependencies, risks, and potential delays proactively to maintain quality and avoid disruptions to project timelines.
  • Manage multiple development projects simultaneously, coordinating deadlines, revisions, version control, stakeholder feedback, and available resources while ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, learning and development, multimedia development, digital media, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least two years of experience developing multimodal training materials for adult learners, including digital learning and instructor-led or virtual training resources.
  • Advanced proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360, with the ability to build customized interactions and engaging, interactive learning experiences.
  • Strong multimedia production and visual design skills, including proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Working knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to apply instructional best practices to create effective, accessible, and engaging learning experiences.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to transform complex technical source material into clear, concise, learner-friendly content.
  • A polished, up-to-date professional portfolio demonstrating eLearning and digital media development expertise. The portfolio should include custom Storyline 360 interactions, Rise 360 projects, instructor-led or virtual learning materials, assessment examples, and at least one before-and-after example illustrating the transformation of source content into a completed learning experience. Applicants should identify any portfolio elements substantially generated by AI and clearly explain their own contributions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, coordinate review cycles, and maintain high standards of accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with instructional designers, subject matter experts, training leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Preferred qualifications: Experience in professional services, accounting, or another regulated industry; familiarity with NASBA CPE standards and Quality Assurance Service (QAS) self-study requirements; and advanced skills in video editing, audio production, motion graphics, or graphic design using tools such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Camtasia, or Vyond.
  • Additional preferred experience includes publishing and troubleshooting LMS content using SCORM or xAPI, developing virtual classroom materials for Microsoft Teams, and creating workflow-integrated learning, performance support resources, or scalable learning products.
  • Location and availability: Candidates must be based in the United States. Remote applicants located in the Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) time zone are preferred. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexible Friday scheduling during the summer where permitted by business needs and applicable policies. Additional hours may be required during peak periods.
  • Competitive annual salary: $60,000–$65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Remote work opportunity: Work remotely from the United States, with a preference for candidates located in the Eastern time zone.
  • Flexible scheduling: Summer scheduling options include the possibility of flexible Fridays, subject to company policies and business requirements.
  • Professional development: Access to mentoring, training programs, and opportunities to expand instructional design, multimedia production, and learning technology expertise.
  • Career growth: Opportunities to develop new skills, take on challenging projects, and pursue long-term professional advancement.
  • Innovative work environment: Opportunities to explore emerging learning technologies, experiment with AI-assisted development tools, and contribute to creative, scalable learning solutions.
  • Collaborative culture: Work alongside experienced professionals and subject matter experts in an environment that values teamwork, innovation, and diverse perspectives.
  • Meaningful impact: Help develop educational experiences that strengthen professional knowledge, improve learning outcomes, and support organizational development.
  • Inclusive workplace: A commitment to equal employment opportunities, diversity, and creating an environment where people from different backgrounds can contribute and succeed.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
