In this role, you will manage a team of experienced business development professionals while building strong relationships with partner leadership, sales organizations, and internal stakeholders. You will develop and execute joint business plans, strengthen sales alignment, and identify opportunities to expand technology solutions and services across target markets. Working closely with sales, strategic sales, and services teams, you will translate partnership strategies into measurable business outcomes. You will also oversee pipeline performance, establish accountability frameworks, and coordinate joint marketing initiatives to increase market presence and customer engagement. This remote leadership opportunity is ideal for a commercially minded professional who combines strategic thinking, relationship management, and team development with a passion for technology-driven growth.

Accountabilities

  • Lead and develop a team of experienced business development managers, aligning individual objectives with broader partnership priorities, sales strategies, and target market opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partner stakeholders across sales, marketing, program management, business development, and executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with regional partner teams to communicate the value proposition, capabilities, and services of the organization, positioning it as a preferred technology solutions partner.
  • Organize quarterly business reviews and stakeholder meetings to assess performance, align strategic priorities, identify opportunities, and ensure progress against joint objectives.
  • Establish clear accountability frameworks for both organizations, ensuring that partnership plans, sales initiatives, and agreed-upon activities are executed effectively.
  • Facilitate regular sales pipeline reviews with internal leaders and partner counterparts, providing relevant performance data, market insights, and trend analysis to support business decisions.
  • Track the progress of strategic partner initiatives, maintain visibility into key opportunities, and identify potential areas for increased collaboration and commercial growth.
  • Identify and connect key stakeholders across sales and marketing organizations to strengthen relationships, accelerate opportunities, and improve coordination.
  • Develop and implement joint marketing programs, participate in regional industry events, and promote awareness of available technology solutions and services among customers and partners.
  • Drive alignment across sales, strategic sales, and services teams by establishing collaborative plans, sharing partner updates, and ensuring consistent execution across business units.
  • Educate internal sales teams on partner offerings, regional resources, and available solutions to improve sales effectiveness and customer outcomes.
  • Create standardized processes, planning templates, and reporting frameworks that can be replicated across strategic partnerships to improve consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Support expansion initiatives by participating in branch-level pipeline discussions, coordinating cross-functional activities, and identifying opportunities to strengthen local market performance.
  • Communicate effectively with customer executives, public relations teams, external publications, and other stakeholders through presentations, written materials, and business discussions.
  • Champion responsible AI adoption by encouraging experimentation, supporting team learning, and identifying opportunities to use AI tools to improve strategy, decision-making, and team performance.
  • Monitor partnership success through revenue and profit growth, relationship development, new contracts, strategic initiatives, and recognition from technology partners.
  • Maintain ethical business practices, follow established organizational principles, participate in performance and talent reviews, manage expenses responsibly, and contribute to special projects as needed.
  • Associate degree combined with at least five years of experience in sales, solution sales, or partner development, or three years of sales leadership or management experience; alternatively, five years of relevant sales, solution sales, partner development, or sales leadership experience.
  • A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, strategic sales, partner management, or technology solutions, with the ability to translate partnership strategies into measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing, coaching, or developing business development professionals to achieve strategic objectives and performance targets.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities, with experience engaging stakeholders across sales, marketing, program management, and executive leadership.
  • Excellent strategic planning, goal-setting, organizational, and execution skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives and maintain accountability across teams.
  • Experience developing joint business plans, coordinating sales pipelines, analyzing performance metrics, and identifying opportunities for revenue growth and profitability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver compelling presentations, lead executive-level discussions, and communicate complex technology offerings clearly.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across internal sales, strategic sales, and services organizations while maintaining alignment with external partners.
  • Knowledge of technology solutions, channel partnerships, and solution-focused marketing programs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the partner ecosystem, vendor relationship management, and strategies for expanding technology sales across different customer segments is an advantage.
  • Comfort working with business data, performance reporting, and pipeline management tools to inform decisions and measure progress.
  • An interest in AI-enabled business practices and the ability to encourage responsible AI adoption, continuous learning, and experimentation within a team.
  • Strong professional judgment, integrity, adaptability, and a commitment to ethical and fair business practices.
  • Ability to maintain effective communication with diverse stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a collaborative, performance-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, averaging approximately four to five days per month.
  • Competitive base salary: Annual base pay ranging from $75,000 to $103,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
