This role sits within a senior engineering team focused on transforming the digital experience of buying, selling, and renting real estate. You will build scalable, high-performance backend solutions that support navigation, search, and conversion for millions of users. The position combines hands-on development with system architecture, cloud technologies, distributed systems, and technical leadership. You will help design resilient platforms capable of handling high traffic volumes, low latency, and demanding production workloads. The role also involves close collaboration with product and engineering teams to turn complex challenges into high-value solutions. You will contribute to code quality, technical documentation, observability, and continuous improvement across the squad. The environment is remote-first, autonomous, collaborative, and focused on innovation, inclusion, and measurable user and business impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop scalable and high-performance backend applications supporting navigation, search, and conversion within the real estate domain.
  • Conduct code reviews, promoting strong engineering practices, code quality, security, and maintainability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents and post-mortems.
  • Design and evolve cloud-based system architectures capable of handling large access volumes and traffic peaks.
  • Collaborate actively on technical solution design, providing constructive input and solving complex engineering challenges.
  • Lead technical and business discussions within the squad to prioritize and deliver high-value solutions for users and the business.
  • Contribute to the definition and evolution of technical approaches aligned with medium- and long-term product and engineering goals.
  • Promote continuous improvement across the squad and help strengthen engineering practices and processes.
  • Support the reliability and performance of critical production applications through effective observability and monitoring practices.
  • Professional experience in backend development using Node.js, Golang, or related programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud application architecture and implementation.
  • Experience developing distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
  • Practical experience with relational SQL and non-relational NoSQL databases.
  • Experience building highly available, scalable, and low-latency applications.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring of critical production applications.
  • Practical knowledge of Git, GitLab CI/CD, and Docker-based containerization.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and understanding of scalable system design.
  • Ability to participate in technical discussions, challenge ideas constructively, and collaborate on complex solutions.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.
  • Experience in e-commerce or large-scale classified platforms is a plus.
  • Knowledge of experimentation practices, including A/B testing and user-experience metrics such as Core Web Vitals, conversion rates, and page load times, is desirable.
  • Experience with architectures focused on search optimization, recommendations, and high-volume data processing is a plus.
