The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Cost Estimator, Enterprise Project Management based in United States.

This is a senior cost management role supporting a large, multinational portfolio of industrial and office construction projects. You will serve as a subject matter expert, partnering closely with project managers and real estate teams throughout the project lifecycle. The role spans early-stage estimating, budget development, cost control, forecasting, value engineering, and commercial negotiations. You will help establish realistic project budgets using market conditions, procurement strategies, contract structures, and regional requirements. Your expertise will help identify cost risks early, strengthen financial controls, and support projects in meeting schedule and budget objectives. The position offers a remote working arrangement with collaboration across geographically distributed teams and international projects. It is well suited to an experienced construction cost professional who brings strong analytical judgment and a structured, proactive approach.

Accountabilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective cost management processes and procedures across enterprise project activities.
  • Provide expert cost estimating support to project managers and real estate teams, helping establish realistic budgets based on project requirements, procurement strategies, contract types, building codes, and current market conditions.
  • Prepare cost estimates at multiple stages of the project lifecycle, from preliminary concepts through detailed design and execution.
  • Identify significant cost risks and work collaboratively with project teams to develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Review project cost plans, forecasts, and reports to assess accuracy, effectiveness, and alignment with approved budgets and cash-out plans.
  • Evaluate cost control measures during project execution and provide recommendations to strengthen financial performance.
  • Apply knowledge of cost- and time-efficient construction methods to support successful project delivery.
  • Support value engineering initiatives and assist project managers with pricing and claims negotiations involving general contractors.
  • Review and challenge proposed cost plans where necessary, ensuring estimates are sufficiently accurate and robust before management approval.
  • Advise project teams on cost implications associated with different procurement approaches and contract structures.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to support project delivery and broader growth objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in cost estimating and cost management, covering both pre-contract and post-contract phases.
  • Extensive knowledge of cost benchmarks for industrial facilities, including manufacturing, testing, R&D, warehouses, and office environments.
  • Strong understanding of the factors that influence construction costs across different markets and project conditions.
  • International experience working on industrial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of common construction and procurement models, including Design-Bid-Build, Design & Build, open-book/cost-plus arrangements, project partnering, and BTS/lease structures.
  • Ability to critically assess cost plans, identify inaccuracies or risks, and provide well-supported recommendations.
  • Experience with digital design and construction methodologies such as BIM and with construction cost databases.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on experience with RIB iTWO, CostX, or comparable cost-estimating and management platforms.
  • Highly structured and organized working style, with the initiative to operate independently and manage complex priorities.
  • Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with project managers, real estate professionals, contractors, and other stakeholders across international environments.
  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Approximate salary range of $148,762–$160,000, with individual compensation determined by location, skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors.
  • Eligibility for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
  • Employer-subsidized medical, prescription, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Employer-paid basic life and AD&D insurance.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • 401(k) plan with employer matching.
  • At least 15 days of vacation annually.
  • 10 days of sick leave.
  • 10 paid holidays plus two personal flex days each year.
  • Paid parental leave of up to 12 weeks for birth parents and 4 weeks for non-birth parents, including adoptive and foster parents, following 90 days of employment.
  • Certain senior-level positions may qualify for unlimited time off.
  • Remote working arrangement from eligible locations across the United States.
  • Opportunity to contribute to large-scale, international industrial and commercial construction projects.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
