This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Customer Advocacy Specialist based in the United States.

We are looking for a customer-focused Senior Customer Advocacy Specialist to develop and scale programs that turn customer success stories into meaningful business impact. In this role, you will manage customer advocacy initiatives across multiple business portfolios, building trusted relationships with advocates and connecting them with opportunities to share their experiences. You will oversee customer reference programs, ambassador communities, customer storytelling, review initiatives, and advocacy-driven events that strengthen brand credibility and support business growth. Working closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Demand Generation, and Events teams, you will align customer engagement opportunities with strategic priorities and revenue objectives. You will also leverage AI tools, customer insights, and performance analytics to identify compelling stories, streamline workflows, and improve program effectiveness. This is an opportunity to combine relationship management, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that values innovation, customer success, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

  • Customer advocacy strategy: Own the strategy and day-to-day execution of advocacy programs across assigned customer segments and business portfolios, including references, advocate recruitment, customer content, events, and branded engagement initiatives.
  • Customer reference management: Manage the complete customer reference lifecycle, from identifying and recruiting suitable advocates to outreach, customer matching, scheduling, and follow-up. Optimize fulfillment times and demonstrate the contribution of reference programs to revenue and business outcomes.
  • Program development and growth: Identify opportunities to expand existing advocacy initiatives using customer insights, performance data, and business priorities. Develop strategies that increase advocate recruitment, participation, engagement, and customer contributions.
  • Ambassador and community programs: Lead and grow customer ambassador and advocate communities, overseeing recruitment, ongoing engagement, program activities, and initiatives that increase the value delivered to participating customers and the organization.
  • Customer engagement initiatives: Develop and expand customer advocacy opportunities, including references, events, recruitment campaigns, and other activities that encourage customers to share their expertise and experiences.
  • Customer relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customer advocates, proactively identifying individuals with compelling experiences, measurable business outcomes, and valuable industry knowledge.
  • Customer storytelling and content: Identify and source customer stories, collaborating with Marketing and Content teams to develop customer-focused materials from initial discovery through final publication.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Demand Generation, Events, and other internal stakeholders to understand business needs and activate the right customers for strategic opportunities.
  • Customer reviews and feedback: Support the strategy and execution of customer review programs, helping maintain a consistent flow of authentic customer feedback and positive reviews across relevant platforms.
  • Performance measurement and reporting: Monitor advocacy program health, participation, customer engagement, coverage gaps, and business impact. Analyze trends and recommend improvements based on measurable results.
  • AI-powered optimization: Integrate generative AI into everyday workflows to accelerate customer and account research, identify potential advocates, uncover customer insights, improve reporting, automate repetitive tasks, and scale successful initiatives.
  • Process development and scalability: Establish repeatable workflows, documentation, and program frameworks that enable advocacy initiatives to grow efficiently while preserving a high-quality customer experience.
  • Team contribution and mentorship: Contribute to team-wide initiatives, share best practices, and provide guidance and support to colleagues as a senior member of the customer advocacy function.
  • Relevant experience: 2–3 years of experience in customer advocacy, customer marketing, customer success, community management, lifecycle marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Program ownership: Demonstrated ability to independently manage and grow customer-facing programs, balancing strategic planning, program development, and hands-on execution.
  • Relationship-building skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trust with customers, including senior stakeholders and highly engaged advocates.
  • Strategic thinking and initiative: Proven ability to identify opportunities within existing programs and develop initiatives that improve customer participation, engagement, and measurable business impact.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop compelling customer narratives and collaborate effectively across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Events, and other functions.
  • Project management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple programs, stakeholders, deadlines, and competing priorities independently.
  • Customer storytelling: Experience identifying compelling customer success stories and connecting customer experiences, testimonials, and business outcomes to broader marketing and commercial objectives.
  • Analytical capabilities: Ability to interpret program data, identify trends and engagement gaps, measure performance, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • AI proficiency: Practical experience using generative AI tools for research, analysis, content development, workflow automation, and productivity improvements, with an interest in finding new ways to scale advocacy programs.
  • Technical and platform knowledge: Familiarity with CRM and customer advocacy tools, such as Salesforce, as well as collaboration and productivity platforms, including Google Workspace and Slack.
  • Continuous improvement mindset: Willingness to challenge existing processes, test new approaches, learn from performance data, and implement improvements that strengthen program effectiveness.
  • Adaptability and accountability: Ability to work independently in a changing environment while remaining collaborative, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and accountable for results.
  • Inclusive and collaborative approach: Openness to different perspectives, a commitment to building authentic customer relationships, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers from diverse backgrounds.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
