The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director of School Partnerships based in the United States, with a focus on the South and East regions.

The Senior Director of School Partnerships is a strategic sales leadership role focused on accelerating revenue growth and expanding partnerships across the K–12 education sector. This position combines direct business development with hands-on coaching, empowering regional sales leaders to achieve individual and collective growth targets. You will manage your own sales pipeline while supporting Directors of Partnerships through strategic planning, deal development, and account growth initiatives. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help translate regional strategies into actionable territory plans and measurable business outcomes. The role also offers the opportunity to lead cross-regional initiatives, improve sales processes, and strengthen team capabilities. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced education sales leader who thrives in a collaborative, results-driven environment and is passionate about developing people while building lasting school partnerships.

Accountabilities

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Operate as a player-coach by managing an individual sales pipeline while mentoring and supporting assigned Directors of Partnerships to achieve territory-wide revenue goals. Provide strategic guidance on account development, sales approaches, campaign execution, and market-specific growth priorities.
  • Pipeline Development and Revenue Growth: Build and maintain a strong personal pipeline while helping regional team members develop healthy, well-segmented pipelines aligned with revenue targets. Partner with the VP of Business Development to identify pipeline gaps, strengthen opportunities across early, middle, and late stages, and improve overall sales performance.
  • Deal Progression and Forecasting: Provide hands-on support for late-stage opportunities to strengthen closing strategies, remove barriers, and improve conversion rates. Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and sales reporting to support informed decision-making and predictable revenue growth.
  • Territory and Market Strategy: Translate regional growth plans into practical sales initiatives across priority states and markets. Support Directors of Partnerships in identifying opportunities, developing strategic accounts, and aligning sales activities with territory-specific objectives and education funding conditions.
  • Leadership Development and Team Onboarding: Lead the onboarding and ramp-up of new team members, providing guidance, mentorship, and practical support to accelerate performance. Contribute to recruitment, hiring, and onboarding activities for Directors of Partnerships, helping build a capable and growth-oriented team.
  • Cross-Regional Projects and Strategic Initiatives: Lead or contribute to cross-regional campaigns, pilot programs, and strategic projects designed to test new growth strategies and improve commercial effectiveness. Support quarterly business reviews, strategic account planning, churn mitigation, target mapping, and funding response initiatives.
  • Organizational Collaboration and Process Improvement: Work closely with business development leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve sales processes, strengthen collaboration between regional teams, and support broader organizational planning. Contribute to leadership development and initiatives that increase scalability and operational effectiveness.
  • Professional Experience: At least 10 years of experience in education-focused sales leadership, combining direct sales responsibility with coaching and developing other sales professionals. A demonstrated record of exceeding revenue targets and building strong, lasting partnerships is essential.
  • K–12 Education Sector Knowledge: Experience with K–12 service delivery models and an understanding of the needs, priorities, and decision-making processes of schools and education stakeholders. Ability to identify opportunities that align educational needs with sustainable business growth.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Proven ability to develop and execute territory plans, translate regional growth strategies into actionable initiatives, and manage individual and team sales objectives. Strong skills in account planning, opportunity development, deal progression, and revenue generation.
  • Pipeline Management and Analytics: Proficiency in CRM systems, pipeline management, sales forecasting, and reporting tools. Ability to identify pipeline gaps, evaluate opportunity quality, monitor performance indicators, and use data to guide sales strategy and improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Education Funding and Legislative Awareness: Knowledge of education funding environments and the ability to connect funding opportunities, policy developments, and regional priorities with viable partnership and revenue opportunities.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Demonstrated ability to mentor sales professionals, support team onboarding, strengthen sales capabilities, and encourage accountability. Comfortable balancing individual sales responsibilities with team development and broader leadership initiatives.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments, regions, and leadership levels. Able to influence stakeholders, communicate strategic recommendations, and foster productive partnerships.
  • Strategic and Growth-Oriented Mindset: A proactive, action-oriented leader who thrives in evolving environments, identifies opportunities for improvement, and takes ownership of business outcomes. Able to manage multiple priorities while contributing to cross-functional initiatives and long-term organizational growth.
  • Competitive Base Salary: Annual salary range of $130,000–$140,000.
  • Performance-Based Compensation: Bonus plan tied to individual and team contributions, including pipeline development, revenue attainment, and leadership growth impact.
  • Leadership Opportunities: Opportunity to influence regional sales strategy, mentor Directors of Partnerships, and contribute to broader organizational initiatives.
  • Professional Development: Hands-on experience with strategic projects, leadership development, cross-regional collaboration, and sales process improvement.
  • Meaningful Impact: Opportunity to build strong K–12 education partnerships and contribute to growth initiatives that support educational service delivery.
  • Work Arrangement: The role is listed as hybrid, with remote work indicated in the position title; specific location and on-site expectations should be confirmed during the hiring process.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
