The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (C# .NET, React) based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to shape cloud-based financial management software used across the global insurance industry. You’ll take ownership of key areas of a high-impact platform while contributing to architecture, technical design, development, and quality. Working within a collaborative Agile engineering environment, you’ll partner with product managers, engineers, and QA specialists to deliver scalable and reliable solutions. The position combines hands-on full-stack development with technical leadership, mentoring, and continuous improvement. You’ll work with modern technologies across .NET, React, Kubernetes, SQL Server, GCP, and AI-assisted development. Your contributions will help improve accounting and reconciliation capabilities while advancing the platform’s performance, maintainability, and long-term technical direction.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, cloud-native software solutions using C#/.NET, React, TypeScript, and related technologies.
  • Build and enhance robust accounting, financial management, and reconciliation applications.
  • Architect systems with a focus on performance, reliability, scalability, security, and long-term maintainability.
  • Develop and deploy applications using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other cloud-native technologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams throughout sprint planning, development, testing, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Lead and contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions.
  • Apply AI-assisted development and automation to reduce repetitive work, accelerate delivery, and improve engineering decision-making.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to maintain high engineering standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, conduct research, and develop effective solutions across the application stack.
  • Mentor and support other engineers through technical guidance, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in development practices, automation, software quality, and engineering processes.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional programming experience as a full-stack software engineer.
  • Strong proficiency with C#/.NET, TypeScript, React, Kubernetes, SQL Server, OpenAPI, Apigee, and GCP.
  • Experience developing and supporting cloud-based applications and working with technologies such as Datadog, GitLab, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS application development, automated testing, software quality, and modern engineering practices.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, particularly Scrum or Kanban, with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to use AI and automation effectively within software development workflows to improve productivity and delivery quality.
  • Strong architectural thinking, troubleshooting, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively through ambiguity.
  • Experience conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to maintain engineering standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide and support other software engineers with technical problem-solving.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in startup environments or the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Experience building or integrating General Ledger, accounting, or reconciliation systems at scale is preferred.
  • Exposure to Node.js development and payment technologies is an advantage.
  • Targeted starting base salary range of $125,000–$150,000 annually in the United States, with compensation determined by experience, skills, and role scope.
  • Potential eligibility for additional compensation plans, including bonuses or commissions, depending on the role.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Holiday and vacation time.
  • Health and wellness days.
  • Additional paid day off for your birthday.
  • Fully remote work arrangement within the United States.
  • People-first environment focused on trust, inclusion, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Opportunities to work with modern cloud, AI, automation, and full-stack technologies on high-impact enterprise software.
  • Background checks and applicable employment verification are required before employment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
