The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Strategy Consultant-HC based in United States.

This is a senior consulting role at the intersection of nonprofit strategy, technology transformation, and applied artificial intelligence. You will lead complex client engagements, helping mission-driven organizations identify where AI can create meaningful and sustainable operational impact. The role combines strategic analysis, AI solution research, process design, change leadership, and hands-on client advisory work. You will translate business needs into clear requirements and actionable recommendations that can guide technical teams and organizational decision-making. Strong communication will be essential as you bridge the gap between non-technical clients, engineering teams, vendors, and other project stakeholders. You will also contribute to the development of AI services and continuously monitor emerging technologies to keep client recommendations current. This is a fully remote U.S. position with a salary range of $125,000–$145,000 annually and limited company-funded travel as needed.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and contribute to strategy projects involving artificial intelligence, technology transformation, and organizational change.
  • Gather client requirements and develop a clear understanding of business strategies, operational processes, challenges, and desired outcomes.
  • Research AI solutions and evaluate their suitability based on client needs, organizational capacity, and strategic goals.
  • Conduct fit-gap analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and determine where AI-enabled solutions can provide meaningful value.
  • Map current and future processes and develop change and implementation roadmaps.
  • Facilitate decision-making sessions and guide clients toward practical, well-supported technology and AI recommendations.
  • Prepare and deliver clear analyses, recommendations, requirements, and strategic documentation.
  • Translate client requirements into structured specifications that engineering teams can use to develop AI agents, bots, and other AI-enabled solutions.
  • Act as a bridge between clients and technical teams, ensuring business requirements and technical constraints are clearly understood on both sides.
  • Explain complex AI concepts, technical terminology, and engineering considerations in concise, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, vendors, partners, and project teams regarding progress, priorities, risks, timelines, scope, and emerging issues.
  • Navigate organizational dynamics, stakeholder challenges, and vendor or partner considerations while maintaining progress toward project objectives.
  • Contribute to internal AI initiatives, knowledge-sharing efforts, use-case development, and lessons learned.
  • Continuously research AI technologies, market developments, and emerging trends affecting business and nonprofit organizations.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience within the nonprofit or higher education sector, combined with experience in an AI-focused role.
  • Strong knowledge of AI solutions and tools, including experience with Anthropic's product suite.
  • Genuine interest in continuously learning about developments across the AI technology landscape.
  • Experience evaluating, selecting, implementing, or managing technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience planning, leading, managing, and implementing organizational or technology change.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts and terminology into concise, clear, actionable language for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects while consistently meeting deadlines, priorities, and client expectations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess processes, identify gaps, and develop practical recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing consulting environments.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across clients, engineering teams, vendors, partners, and internal project teams.
  • Adaptability and sound judgment when navigating organizational culture, stakeholder dynamics, and project obstacles.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high-quality delivery and consistent communication.
  • Willingness to work during regular Monday–Friday business hours within one of the four continental U.S. time zones.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for annual staff activities, client on-sites, meetings, or conferences.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Annual salary range of $125,000–$145,000, depending on market location, experience, skills, and qualifications.
  • Fully remote position within the United States.
  • Full range of employee benefits.
  • Company-funded travel for eligible annual staff activities, client on-sites, meetings, and conferences.
  • Opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, technology strategy, and mission-driven organizations.
  • Exposure to complex and challenging AI transformation projects.
  • Opportunity to shape AI services, internal use cases, and organizational knowledge.
  • Collaborative consulting environment with significant client-facing responsibility.
  • Opportunity to contribute to technology initiatives designed to create meaningful impact for nonprofit and higher education organizations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
