The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Product Manager - New Units based in United States.

This remote, full-time leadership role is responsible for driving the strategic integration and successful reintroduction of a major gas turbine product platform. You’ll lead cross-functional new-unit production programs spanning engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, commercial planning, quality, and installation. The position combines product strategy, program management, technical decision-making, and business leadership in a complex global environment. You’ll own key planning, approval, cost, quality, and product configuration activities while ensuring alignment across multiple functions. Working closely with sales, services, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, and business development teams, you’ll turn strategic priorities into executable plans. You’ll also identify systemic product issues, drive corrective actions, and ensure lessons learned translate into future product improvements. The role offers significant visibility with senior leadership and an opportunity to influence product performance, customer outcomes, and long-term business growth.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead all aspects of the new-unit production program, including program planning, business alignment, toll-gate processes, cost control, business case development, engineering readiness, manufacturing readiness, and sourcing readiness.
  • Collaborate with product leadership to execute the strategic vision and roadmap for the product platform.
  • Own and maintain the applicable multi-year product and business planning process.
  • Manage and maintain the Approval to Quote process for the product portfolio.
  • Lead the strategic deployment of corrective actions across new product introduction, new-unit production, shipping, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Lead portfolio decisions involving product standardization, customization, technology selection, and configuration.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams responsible for maintaining product standards, configuration rules, technical documentation, and reference designs.
  • Review customer specifications and identify technical, commercial, contractual, and execution risks.
  • Ensure lessons learned from projects, installations, and commissioning activities are incorporated into future product improvements.
  • Partner with supply chain and manufacturing teams to improve sourcing strategies, standardization, lead times, quality, and cost.
  • Own assigned Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) targets associated with systemic product quality issues.
  • Drive process improvements across new product introduction value streams and support toll-gate execution for business and fleet improvements.
  • Monitor installation and commissioning schedules and collaborate across functions to streamline processes.
  • Partner with sales, technical sales, and business development teams to develop competitive technical and commercial offerings.
  • Develop and implement long-term corrective action plans addressing recurring product quality issues.
  • Manage customer communications related to product fleet issues and coordinate appropriate internal responses.
  • Provide senior management with regular updates on workstreams, achievements, risks, and areas requiring support or guidance.
  • Lead through influence in a complex, diverse, and globally distributed cross-functional organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience working with gas turbine technology or a comparable power-generation or industrial technology.
  • At least 4 years of leadership experience within a product line, engineering, services, program management, or project management environment.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, new product introduction, manufacturing, sourcing, engineering, services, and commercial processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional programs and translate strategic objectives into executable plans.
  • Strong technical, business, and financial analysis capabilities, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and make informed product decisions.
  • Knowledge of product-line technologies, processes, and the power generation marketplace.
  • Experience working with services operations and execution teams is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality improvement, corrective action, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to act as a change agent within a dynamic organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidence presenting to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all organizational levels and across multiple functional disciplines.
  • Experience working in a global environment with geographically distributed teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective teams, resolve complex problems, and drive accountability.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a complex, fast-moving environment.
  • Annual U.S. salary range of $134,000–$223,400, with actual compensation influenced by geographic location, experience, education, and skills.
  • Geographic salary differentials of 110%, 120%, or 130% may apply in certain locations.
  • Eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.
  • Access to a 24/7 nurse-based health coaching resource.
  • Employee Assistance Program offering confidential assessment, counseling, and referral services.
  • 401(k) retirement savings opportunity with company matching and retirement contributions.
  • Access to financial planning resources and consultants.
  • Tuition assistance.
  • Adoption assistance.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Disability benefits and life insurance.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
