The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Brand Designer, Graphic & Web based in the United States.

This is a senior brand and visual design role with the opportunity to establish and shape a company-wide brand practice from the ground up. You will define the creative direction across corporate branding, web, marketing materials, and multiple specialized business domains. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, giving you ownership from concept and design through build, launch, and maintenance. You will work within a lean, collaborative Design organization alongside product, marketing, creative, and go-to-market teams. A key focus will be translating complex scientific, AI, and technology concepts into clear, compelling visual experiences. You will also build scalable systems, templates, asset libraries, and AI-assisted workflows that enable teams across the organization to create high-quality work independently. This is an opportunity for a highly autonomous designer to define a visual language, influence senior stakeholders, and make a broad impact across a growing technology organization.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and evolve the organization’s brand vision, visual identity, design system, brand guidelines, and architecture for supporting sub-brands.
  • Serve as the senior creative voice for brand and visual design, bringing a clear point of view while collaborating with stakeholders and incorporating meaningful feedback.
  • Shape a cohesive parent brand across multiple technically distinct domains, ensuring each area has an appropriate visual expression while maintaining a consistent overall identity.
  • Own the corporate web presence end to end, including designing, building, launching, and maintaining the website and related properties through a visual CMS such as Webflow.
  • Produce high-quality hands-on design work across conference and event graphics, brochures, one-pagers, infographics, executive communications, go-to-market materials, and other brand assets.
  • Use individual design projects as opportunities to evolve and strengthen the broader visual system rather than treating them solely as production requests.
  • Create scalable resources such as presentation templates, brand kits, asset libraries, reusable components, and repeatable processes that enable non-designers to produce high-quality work.
  • Develop and incorporate AI-assisted workflows and tools that increase creative efficiency and help the design organization scale.
  • Partner with product designers, creative teams, marketing, and go-to-market stakeholders early in the process to help define problems and shape solutions.
  • Brief and manage external creative partners when additional capacity or specialized expertise is required, while maintaining quality and brand consistency.
  • Help translate complex scientific, technical, and AI concepts into accessible and visually compelling design experiences.
  • Approximately 8+ years of professional experience across brand systems, graphic design, and web design.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing or evolving a brand or web practice, particularly in environments where processes and systems needed to be created from scratch.
  • Hands-on proficiency with modern CMS or visual web platforms such as Webflow, along with working knowledge of HTML/CSS and the ability to take a website from design through implementation, launch, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Proven experience creating and maintaining design systems, component libraries, brand kits, templates, or asset libraries that have been successfully adopted by non-designers.
  • Strong ability to maintain visual coherence across distinct audiences, business areas, and design challenges while adapting appropriately to different contexts.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical, scientific, AI, or other specialized subject matter through clear and engaging visual design.
  • Strong visual design craft combined with strategic thinking and the ability to connect individual creative work to broader brand objectives.
  • High degree of autonomy, ownership, and initiative, with the ability to manage projects from strategy through execution without relying heavily on others for production.
  • Active use of AI tools and modern creative workflows to improve ideation, production, and design processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate creative rationale, influence stakeholders, and build support for design decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across product, marketing, creative, and go-to-market functions.
  • Motion, animation, interactive web, or UI experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience creating interactive, web-native alternatives to traditional PDFs and presentation decks is a plus.
  • Experience in science, deep technology, healthcare, or other technically demanding industries is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and web accessibility principles is preferred.
  • Print production and physical brand asset experience is a plus.
  • Base salary: $137,600–$258,000 annually, depending on geographic pay tier, skills, experience, education, and location.
  • Geographic compensation: U.S. compensation is structured across three geographic tiers to reflect local market differences.
  • Competitive total compensation, with equity participation and performance-based incentives or bonuses where applicable.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and eligible dependents, with employer premium contributions.
  • Retirement savings plan with company matching.
  • Paid parental leave and inclusive family-building benefits.
  • Flexible paid time off and company-wide seasonal breaks.
  • Fully remote work environment with flexible arrangements designed to support sustainable performance.
  • Professional development through on-the-job learning, cross-functional collaboration, and internal learning and development programs.
  • Opportunity to work alongside multidisciplinary experts across AI, science, engineering, cybersecurity, mathematics, medicine, and other technical fields.
  • Inclusive workplace focused on belonging, collaboration, respect, and diverse perspectives.
  • Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities throughout the hiring process.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
