The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff UX Designer based in United States.

This is a senior design leadership role focused on shaping intuitive, high-quality digital experiences in the healthcare space. You’ll tackle complex and undefined problems, turning emerging opportunities into scalable, user-centered product experiences. The role combines strategic thinking, interaction and visual design expertise, rapid prototyping, and close collaboration with technical and data science teams. You’ll help introduce modern, consumer-level design standards to enterprise healthcare products while influencing the broader design organization. As a key member of the design leadership team, you’ll mentor designers, strengthen design systems, and champion design excellence across the organization. This is a remote-first opportunity for an experienced designer who enjoys fast-paced, outcome-driven environments and meaningful product challenges.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the development of consumer-level experiences within enterprise healthcare products, raising the bar for interaction and visual design quality.
  • Explore undefined problem spaces and develop innovative solutions to complex user and business challenges.
  • Own large-scale design projects from early exploration through execution, using rapid prototyping and fast learning cycles to validate ideas and deliver scalable outcomes.
  • Partner closely with senior engineering, product leadership, and data science teams to integrate sophisticated capabilities, including machine learning, into intuitive user experiences.
  • Establish differentiated design approaches and introduce breakthrough experiences that elevate overall product quality.
  • Make thoughtful, strategic design decisions while balancing user needs, business objectives, technical considerations, and long-term product vision.
  • Champion design excellence and innovation across the organization, influencing cross-functional teams and setting standards for high-impact solutions.
  • Contribute to and help evolve the design system by introducing next-generation patterns and retiring or improving outdated ones.
  • Collaborate with other designers and product managers to integrate new design patterns and improvements into their workflows.
  • Mentor and support other designers by sharing expertise, strengthening design capabilities, and encouraging strategic thinking.
  • Continue leading exploratory initiatives with significant potential while balancing innovation work with the delivery of high-impact product projects.
  • 7+ years of in-house design experience, including significant experience working independently with senior technical teams.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating advanced interaction and visual design expertise and a track record of delivering sophisticated, high-quality user experiences.
  • Deep expertise in at least two core UX areas, such as research and strategy, system design, interaction design, or visual design, with strong capabilities across additional areas.
  • Experience designing for complex systems and applications.
  • Experience incorporating complex technologies or capabilities, such as machine learning, into user-centered product experiences.
  • Strong strategic thinking and experience leading early-stage exploration projects with significant potential.
  • Proven ability to manage and reconcile conflicting stakeholder feedback while maintaining cohesive and innovative design solutions.
  • Experience contributing to and maintaining scalable, high-quality design systems.
  • Strong understanding of modern interaction patterns, visual design principles, prototyping, and user-centered design.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outcome-driven environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Natural leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor designers and elevate team capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus but is not required.
  • $188,500–$245,000 USD base salary range, with final compensation determined by factors such as internal equity, market data, education, experience, and certifications.
  • Equity opportunities.
  • Performance-based bonus program.
  • 401(k) matching.
  • Regular compensation reviews.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Flexible time off to support work-life balance.
  • No-Meeting Fridays and monthly company holidays.
  • Mental health resources and well-being initiatives.
  • Remote-first culture supporting flexibility and collaboration with distributed teams.
  • Paid parental leave for all new parents.
  • Professional development funding, learning programs, mentorship, and regular performance feedback.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) with discounted equity opportunities.
  • Reimbursement for office setup expenses.
  • Monthly cell phone and internet stipend.
  • Opportunities to work on meaningful healthcare products and complex, emerging technology.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
