The posting
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Talent & People Specialist based in Germany.
This is a versatile People role combining talent acquisition with HR operations in a fast-growing, fully remote SaaS environment. You’ll play a direct part in building high-performing teams, with around 40 hires expected each year across Tech, Product, Data, Growth, Finance, and other functions. The role covers the full employee journey, from candidate engagement and hiring through onboarding, HR administration, and key employee moments. You’ll work closely with hiring managers and the wider People team to create a smooth, transparent, and engaging candidate and employee experience. There is significant scope to improve processes, automate workflows, strengthen HR systems, and introduce new tools and AI-enabled solutions. The environment values autonomy, initiative, continuous learning, and a strong focus on impact, while offering the flexibility of fully remote work across Europe. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys variety, ownership, and building better People processes in a growing organisation.
Accountabilities:
- Conduct HR interviews, assessing candidate motivation, communication, potential, and alignment with the organisation’s working environment.
- Partner with hiring managers throughout recruitment processes, including role scoping, regular follow-ups, candidate feedback, and process coordination.
- Manage and maintain the recruitment pipeline in the ATS, including candidate tracking, scorecards, follow-ups, and reporting.
- Ensure a smooth, transparent, and engaging candidate experience from initial contact through interviews, offers, and constructive rejection feedback.
- Present the organisation, its products, culture, working model, and growth opportunities compellingly to prospective candidates.
- Understand candidate motivations and concerns, address potential blockers, and support successful hiring decisions through to offer acceptance and signature.
- Own pre-onboarding and onboarding activities, covering both administrative processes and the employee experience during the first days and weeks.
- Continuously improve key employee touchpoints by gathering feedback, measuring the experience, and implementing improvements.
- Manage HR administration for employees in France, including contracts, amendments, employment statuses, assignments, and renewals.
- Administer HR and payroll processes through Deel across multiple entities, including payroll, leave, absences, and expenses.
- Monitor employee absences and work closely with HR leadership on sensitive or complex situations.
- Automate administrative activities and document HR workflows through clear processes, templates, and documentation.
- Respond to employee requests and collaborate closely with Finance to maintain accurate and reliable HR data.
- Coordinate employee equipment throughout its lifecycle, including computer delivery, access management, passwords, and equipment recovery.
- Maintain internal mailing lists and collaboration tools while coordinating relevant external partners.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in Human Resources, ideally across recruitment, HR administration, or a generalist People role.
- Experience in a startup or scale-up environment is advantageous; candidates from recruitment agencies or larger organisations are also welcome.
- Experience across both talent acquisition and HR operations, or a strong motivation to expand from one area into the other.
- Hands-on experience conducting HR interviews and managing recruitment processes from initial screening through offer and closing.
- Familiarity with an ATS, ideally Teamtailor, and/or an HRIS such as Deel.
- Solid understanding of personnel administration, with initial exposure to payroll considered a plus.
- Comfortable working with tools such as Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace.
- Curiosity about AI tools, automation, and opportunities to make People processes more efficient.
- Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and implement solutions independently.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage candidates and confidently communicate the value of an opportunity.
- Service-oriented approach with a strong focus on both candidate and employee experience.
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and reliability, particularly when handling sensitive HR and payroll information.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong autonomy and written communication skills suited to a fully remote environment.
- Fluent French, as this is the primary working language.
- English at B2 level or above, as English is the secondary working language and will be assessed during the recruitment process.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams across Europe.
- 100% remote work across Europe, allowing you to work from the European country of your choice.
- Option to work remotely from another time zone for up to one month, providing additional flexibility and the opportunity to experience a different location.
- Flexible working hours and significant autonomy over how you organise your schedule.
- Flexible vacation policy, with trust and autonomy around managing your time off.
- Coworking budget of up to €200 per month if you prefer working outside your home.
- Equipment budget covering essentials such as a laptop, desk, chair, monitor, headset, and other home-office needs.
- Two company-wide team seminars each year, providing opportunities for collaboration, connection, and team-building.
- Opportunity to work in a high-growth environment where new processes, tools, and initiatives can be built from the ground up.
- Broad HR scope combining recruitment, People operations, employee experience, administration, and process improvement.
- Exposure to a diverse range of hiring profiles across Tech, Product, Data, Growth, Finance, and other functions.
- Modern People technology stack including Teamtailor, Deel, Notion, Slack, and AI-powered tools.
- Strong opportunities for professional development, increased responsibility, and learning through hands-on experience.
- Remote-first culture built around autonomy, flexibility, ownership, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
