The posting

Kizer Energy is seeking an experienced Completions Coordinator to support its client on a project (PowerCo and DataCo scopes) in Texas. This leadership role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving all systems completion, startup, and commissioning activities across the project, ensuring the successful transition of systems, subsystems, and assets from construction through operational handover.

The Completions Coordinator will lead and coordinate the Mechanical, Electrical MV/HV, Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), and Automation/DCS CSU discipline leads, ensuring consistent execution of the Client Completions Methodology and alignment across all project disciplines. The role is accountable for advancing systems through Mechanical Completion (MC), Pre-Functional Testing (PFT), Commissioning, Ready for Startup (RFSU), Substantial Completion (SC), and Facility Custody Transfer to Operations (FO) while maintaining compliance with project specifications, OEM requirements, safety standards, and schedule objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of CSU Discipline Leads across Mechanical, Electrical MV/HV, Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), and Automation/DCS disciplines.
  • Ensure consistent application of the Client's Completions Methodology across all systems, subsystems, and project areas.
  • Facilitate daily and weekly coordination meetings involving CSU leads, construction, commissioning, operations, and client teams.
  • Resolve cross-functional interface issues, resource conflicts, and system readiness challenges affecting project progress.
  • Drive and manage the completions process from Mechanical Completion (MC) through Pre-Functional Testing (PFT), Commissioning, Ready for Startup (RFSU), Substantial Completion (SC), and Facility Custody Transfer to Operations (FO).
  • Maintain and coordinate the completions schedule, ensuring alignment with the overall project execution and commissioning schedule.
  • Lead system readiness reviews and milestone assessments to confirm compliance with turnover and commissioning requirements.
  • Validate turnover packages and completion documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with system boundaries.
  • Oversee punch list management, including walkdowns, categorization, assignment, prioritization, tracking, and closure of outstanding items.
  • Coordinate joint walk-downs with construction, commissioning, operations, and client representatives to verify system readiness and compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor punch list aging and escalate critical or overdue items that may impact project milestones.
  • Align commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, I&C, and automation disciplines to support efficient system turnover and startup.
  • Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to address technical issues, design clarifications, and RFIs impacting completion activities.
  • Track and report system-by-system progress against key milestones, including MC, PFT, Commissioning, RFSU, SC, and FO readiness.
  • Develop and maintain project completion metrics, dashboards, and status reports for project leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Identify schedule risks, critical path impacts, and resource constraints, implementing mitigation and recovery plans to maintain project objectives.
  • Serve as the central coordination point for all completions and commissioning activities, ensuring the safe, timely, and successful transition of systems into operational custody.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
