The posting

Kizer Energy is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to support our client on the Project (PowerCo and DataCo scopes) in Texas. The successful candidate will lead the implementation and oversight of the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control program, ensuring all engineering, construction, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities meet project specifications, contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and owner quality expectations.

This role is responsible for managing inspections, quality documentation, testing verification, non-conformance resolution, and compliance across all project phases, from construction through Ready for Startup (RFSU), Substantial Completion, Facility Custody Transfer, and final Project Closeout. The QA/QC Manager will work closely with engineering, construction, commissioning, and client teams to ensure the successful delivery of a high-quality, fully compliant hyperscale data center facility.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management Plan (QMP), quality standards, inspection protocols, and acceptance criteria across all project disciplines.
  • Ensure contractors, subcontractors, and vendors comply with approved quality procedures, specifications, and documentation requirements.
  • Oversee quality inspections and verification activities for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and architectural scopes.
  • Validate construction and installation work against IFC drawings, project specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate third-party inspections, testing agencies, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Manage all quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection reports, test records, non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and turnover packages.
  • Ensure quality records are complete, accurate, and aligned with commissioning documentation, system boundaries, and turnover requirements.
  • Lead the identification, investigation, and resolution of non-conformances, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Verify timely closure of NCRs and implementation of measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Serve as the primary quality liaison between the owner, engineering teams, contractors, commissioning teams, vendors, and client representatives.
  • Facilitate QA/QC coordination meetings and support technical clarifications related to quality issues and RFIs.
  • Support commissioning and turnover activities by validating system readiness, participating in walkdowns, punch list reviews, and quality verification processes.
  • Ensure all quality requirements are met before Mechanical Completion (MC), Pre-Functional Testing (PFT), commissioning, and operational handover milestones.
  • Prepare and deliver daily and weekly QA/QC reports, including inspection results, quality trends, NCR status, punch list progress, and project risks.
  • Monitor quality KPIs and identify quality-related schedule impacts, providing mitigation strategies to support successful project delivery.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
