  • Vertalen van zakelijke vragen naar data science- en engineeringtaken.
  • Waarborgen van de betrouwbaarheid en efficiëntie van datatransformaties in zowel batch- als realtime-applicaties.
  • Communiceren van technische oplossingen en vertalen naar waardevolle inzichten voor klanten in verschillende sectoren, waaronder de publieke sector, infrastructuur, detailhandel, enz.
  • Adviseren over strategie en governance
  • Vertalen van businessuitdagingen naar pragmatische en toekomstbestendige oplossingen
  • De lead pakken in multidisciplinaire teams
  • Bijdagen aan business development, proposals en het verder uitbouwen van onze AI & data practice

Vacatureomschrijving

Als Senior Specialist Data Science & Engineering werk je in een team van gepassioneerde data scientists, data engineers, (agentic) AI experts en architecten, die zich inzetten om impact te maken via data. Je werkt rechtstreeks samen met klanten om hun behoeften te begrijpen, adviseert over en implementeert innovatieve data- en analyseoplossingen die de nieuwste technieken in data science en data engineering combineren. Jouw rol omvat zowel het analytische aspect van data science, zoals generative AI, agentic AI, tijdreeksanalyse, natural language processing en beeldherkenning, als de technische uitdagingen van big data engineering, waaronder het ontwerpen van effectieve dataverwerkingspijplijnen en het creëren van realtime-applicaties. Onze pragmatische aanpak betekent dat je de beste tools, platforms en methoden voor elk project gebruikt, wat zorgt voor optimale resultaten voor onze diverse klanten.

Functie-eisen

  • Een masterdiploma in een STEM-gerelateerd vakgebied (bijv. informatica, natuurkunde), met een sterke basis in wiskunde en statistiek.
  • Aantoonbare ervaring (minimaal 2 jaar) met het oplossen van complexe problemen met behulp van AI, data science en grootschalige dataverwerking, liefst in een consultancy setting
  • Ervaring in data-analyse en programmeren met talen zoals Python, SQL, Scala of andere talen.
  • Ervaring met cloud- en analyseplatforms zoals Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake
  • Een conceptueel begrip van data engineering-paradigma's, netwerken en dataopslagoplossingen
  • Een vertrouwdheid met oplossingen zoals Data Lakes en Data Warehouses, evenals big data-tools en -technieken zoals Spark en Flink.
  • Een analytische mindset die in staat is tot abstract denken, gekoppeld aan nieuwsgierigheid en leergierigheid op het snijvlak van data science en big data engineering.
  • Goede communicatieve vaardigheden en het vermogen om effectief in een team te werken, met een neus voor het uitleggen van complexe technische concepten aan niet-technische belanghebbenden.
  • Een zelfstartende houding, in staat om meerdere projecten parallel te behandelen en zich aan te passen aan veranderende klantbehoeften.
  • Je werkt in een internationaal team, maar beheerst de Nederlandse taal.

Aanvullende informatie

  • Brutomaandsalaris tussen € 4.000,- en € 5.100,- afhankelijk van je werkervaring, variabele prestatie beloning, een vaste onkostenvergoeding en een vaste thuiswerkvergoeding per gewerkte dag.
