The posting

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance for any positions.

If you are based outside the Los Angeles area, we still welcome your application — we value talent from all geographic backgrounds and want to hear from you if you are able to work on-site in LA.

Role Purpose

You will make sure athletes, spectators and the Games workforce receive safe, dependable medical care at LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games venues. Working with Event Venue Management, local emergency medical services and hospital partners, you will turn strategic medical plans into practical venue operations, from medical stations and supplies to emergency response. In the years leading up to the Games, you will establish these operations from the ground up, then lead them through test events and Games time with integrity and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities

· Turn strategic medical plans into venue run sheets, layouts, and timelines for competition and non-competition sites.

· Act as primary liaison to Event Venue Management, integrating International Federation guidelines and NOC/NPC medical requirements.

· Run daily medical services, from athlete medical rooms and spectator first aid to field-of-play response and supplies.

· Coordinate emergency response with local EMS, hospitals, and public safety partners, and help draft emergency action plans.

· Keep venues compliant with IOC/IPC medical codes and support adoption of the Games Electronic Medical Record system.

Required Competencies

· 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, emergency medical planning, clinical services management, or venue-based event operations.

· Proven operational experience coordinating medical services for multi-day, large-scale events, including on-venue emergency response.

· Demonstrated operational problem-solving, team coordination, and detail-oriented project management skills, with sound judgment under competing priorities.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with clinical tracking or EMR systems.

· Bachelor's degree in athletic training or a related field; or 5 years of equivalent experience in healthcare operations or venue medical services.

Valued Experience

· Major multi-sport or championship event experience.

· Experience in sports or live event environments.

· Familiarity with Southern California healthcare networks, EMS jurisdictions, and disaster preparedness frameworks.

· Master's degree in sports medicine or a related field; or 5 years of equivalent experience in sports medicine, preferred.

What We Offer

· Ownership of venue medical care as the Summer Games return to the U.S.

· Close work with EMS, hospital, and public health partners across Los Angeles.

· Hands-on leadership through test events and Games-time venue operations.

· A team guided by optimism, integrity, excellence, inclusion, co-creation, and boldness.

What This Role Means for the Games

Every athlete and fan at your venues relies on medical care that works in the background, and your planning and leadership will help LA28 deliver safe, inclusive Games and leave a lasting legacy of preparedness in Los Angeles.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

· Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.

· The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.

· The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.

· Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.

· Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

· Expectation to be based in LA28 offices/venues in Los Angeles.

· Ability to walk, stand, and traverse indoor/outdoor venue footprints for extended periods during site visits, test events, and Games operations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
