The posting

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance for any positions.

If you are based outside the Los Angeles area, we still welcome your application — we value talent from all geographic backgrounds and want to hear from you if you are able to work on-site in LA.

Role Purpose

You will run the procurement that turns LA28's venue plans into delivered, working venues for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As Manager, VNI Procurement, you own end-to-end sourcing and contract management for a set of Venue Infrastructure commodities, from market approach and bid packages through negotiation and award. You work alongside Design and Delivery, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Venue Management so that every contract you manage lands on time, on budget, and ready for the venues that will host the world.

Key Responsibilities

· Run end-to-end procurement activities for assigned Venue Infrastructure commodities in line with the LA28 procurement strategy.

· Manage the contracts for your commodities, partnering with Legal to turn awarded bids into clear, enforceable contract documents.

· Take part in contract negotiations, setting selection criteria and supporting award decisions with Legal, Finance, and Venue Management.

· Validate market sourcing approaches and supplier qualifications, and prepare bid packages that reflect design and engineering standards.

· Build LA28 sustainability and impact requirements into each procurement, and report progress against LA28 metrics.

Required Competencies

· Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, including procurement and contracts management for major infrastructure and temporary works.

· Contract management experience, including knowledge of purchasing and contracts systems such as Agiloft, Workday, Textura, CMiC, and Compass.

· Bachelor's degree in business or legal studies; or 5 years of equivalent experience in procurement and contracts management.

· Experience leading a contracted workforce of procurement and contracts professionals across complex, time-bound delivery programs.

· Strong negotiation, collaboration, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

Valued Experience

· Experience in category management across multiple commodity and supplier areas.

· Experience in major events, including the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

· Professional procurement certifications.

· Project management experience on large infrastructure, construction, or temporary works delivery programs.

What We Offer

· Real ownership of the sourcing and contract decisions that put venues on the ground.

· Career-defining exposure across infrastructure delivery, legal, finance, and venue operations teams.

· A co-creative procurement team that values pragmatic, high-trust decisions under real delivery pressure.

· A direct hand in delivering the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.

What This Role Means for the Games

The contracts you manage build the venues where athletes compete and fans gather. Your sourcing and negotiation keep venue delivery on time, on budget, and aligned to LA28's sustainability goals, so every venue is ready when the world arrives.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

· Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.

· The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.

· The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.

· Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.

· Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000 – $115,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
