The posting

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance for any positions. If you are based outside the Los Angeles area, we still welcome your application — we value talent from all geographic backgrounds and want to hear from you if you are able to work on-site in LA.

Role Purpose

You will shape how venue teams prepare and work together to deliver workforce operations for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Reporting to the Head of Workforce Operations, you will connect workforce service levels, training and readiness with venue operating plans. The role combines planning with operational delivery at a standalone venue or Sports Park, including test events and Games-time deployment. You will help functional teams resolve issues together, maintain service continuity and prepare paid staff and volunteers for their assignments, bringing co-creation, integrity and practical judgment to evolving operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage workforce Food and Beverage and Accommodation service levels, aligning operational needs with venue operating plans.

· Lead workforce venue strategy, planning and operational delivery for a standalone venue or Sports Park, supporting test events.

· Manage workforce training for volunteers and paid staff, coordinating onboarding, uniforms, accreditation and role assignment readiness milestones.

· Partner with Event Venue Management, Transport, Food and Beverage, Uniforms and Volunteer Management to coordinate workforce requirements.

· Oversee Games-time coverage and shift fulfillment, resolving venue escalations with Functional Area leads and central workforce planning.

Required Competencies

· 7+ years experience in workforce operations, operations, event operations or live event management, supporting planning and operational delivery.

· Ability to align workforce service levels with venue operating plans and coordinate requirements across interdependent operational functions.

· Ability to manage volunteer and paid-staff training, linking preparation to onboarding, uniforms, accreditation and role assignment milestones.

· Ability to resolve workforce service escalations with Functional Area leads and central planning teams while maintaining operational continuity.

· Capacity to lead on-the-ground workforce operations, manage shift coverage and translate readiness priorities into coordinated venue delivery.

Valued Experience

· Olympic Experience supporting workforce preparation or event operations.

· Experience coordinating Food and Beverage and Accommodation services.

· Experience supporting operational planning and delivery of test events.

· Experience coordinating workforce readiness across several operational teams.

· Experience resolving venue workforce issues during live event delivery.

What We Offer

· Contribute to workforce operations that support the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.

· Work alongside teammates across venue services, operational planning and workforce delivery functions.

· Develop transferable experience connecting workforce preparation, test events and operational delivery.

· Take pride in shared outcomes that help paid staff and volunteers contribute effectively.

What This Role Means for the Games

Prepared workforce teams help venues maintain coverage and service continuity throughout the Games. Your work connects the practical needs of paid staff and volunteers with operational plans, helping teammates deliver their assignments and resolve issues together across the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

· Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.

· The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.

· The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.

· Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.

· Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

· This role will commence in-office at the LA28 DTLA location. However, frequent site visits are likely required in the lead up to Games Time delivery.

· Individuals should be able to demonstrate a capacity to lead in an operational environment (including, but not limited to, shift-work, evening and weekend commitments, on-the-ground operations).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
