The posting

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance for any positions. If you are based outside the Los Angeles area, we still welcome your application — we value talent from all geographic backgrounds and want to hear from you if you are able to work on-site in LA.

Role Purpose

Support the litigation function that helps LA28 prepare to deliver the Olympic and Paralympic Games with integrity. You will organize litigation information, coordinate responses to legal requests, and keep pending matters and deadlines visible to attorneys. Collaborate with in-house counsel, outside counsel, and internal teammates to build reliable litigation records and handle confidential material with care. This role combines practical coordination, legal research, and detailed document preparation as the organization develops its working processes. Your contribution will help attorneys access accurate information and respond to matters while preparations for the Games progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble information and documentation for responses to administrative demands, legal subpoenas, discovery requests, and legal briefs.
  • Monitor pending matters and key deadlines, including issuing and managing litigation hold notices to keep litigation on track.
  • Organize and maintain legal department litigation file systems and records in accordance with internal procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate with in-house attorneys, outside counsel, and internal teams, ensuring proper document distribution and archiving for litigation matters.
  • Assist attorneys with light legal research and other special projects, providing organized information that supports their review.

Required Competencies

  • Bring 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, including work on sensitive, confidential, complex and/or high-risk matters.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal qualification under American Bar Association and applicable state codes; or 5 years of equivalent experience in litigation support.
  • Demonstrate experience conducting legal and factual research, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to litigation questions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Word and Excel, with experience preparing legal documents, presentations and spreadsheets for attorneys.
  • Apply excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, prioritizing and multitasking effectively to meet deadlines across matters.

Valued Experience

  • Bring paralegal experience within a corporate in-house legal department.
  • Bring paralegal experience within a non-profit in-house legal department.
  • Offer experience organizing and managing electronic filing systems.
  • Bring experience working within an organization with changing priorities.

What We Offer

  • Contribute litigation support to the team preparing the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
  • Work alongside in-house attorneys, outside counsel, and teammates across the organization.
  • Develop transferable experience through legal research, document preparation, and litigation coordination.
  • Take pride in dependable legal support that contributes to shared Games preparations.

What This Role Means for the Games

Reliable litigation support helps attorneys address legal matters without losing sight of the work ahead. By keeping records organized, deadlines visible, and sensitive information protected, you will support the legal team's contribution to responsible preparation for the Games.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.
  • The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
  • The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
  • Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.
  • Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
