Make a Difference. At Lives Lived Well, we believe recovery is possible. Lives Lived Well offers a range of community and residential Alcohol and Other Drug services across Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia, helping thousands of people each year navigate AOD-related challenges and build healthier futures. The West Moreton Residential AOD Treatment Service in Ipswich provides live-in withdrawal and rehabilitation for adults across the region. Through 24-hour support and structured treatment pathways, we help people stabilise, reconnect and work towards lasting recovery. We're seeking a passionate Cultural Wellbeing Officer to join our team and help create a culturally safe, welcoming and recovery-focused environment. This is an Identified Position Applicants must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Lives Lived Well considers being an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person a genuine occupational requirement under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld). Your Opportunity As a Cultural Wellbeing Officer, you will support residents throughout their treatment and recovery journey while strengthening cultural safety, connection and wellbeing across the service. Working closely with residents, staff and community partners, you will help create opportunities for healing, connection and personal growth. Key Responsibilities

Support residents throughout their treatment and recovery journey. Facilitate wellbeing activities, yarning circles and group programs. Support residents to maintain cultural, community and spiritual connections. Build relationships with local Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and cultural supports. Provide cultural guidance and support to staff. Maintain accurate client records and documentation. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes.

About You To be successful, you will have:

Strong relationship-building and communication skills. A culturally respectful, compassionate and non-judgemental approach. Understanding of culturally safe and trauma-informed practice. Ability to build trust and rapport with people experiencing alcohol and other drug challenges. Strong organisational, computer and administration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A commitment to self-care, professional boundaries and continuous learning. A current Australian Driver Licence.

Highly regarded:

Experience in Alcohol and Other Drugs, Community Services, Social and Emotional Wellbeing, or Residential Services. Knowledge of recovery-oriented practice and mental health support.
