Pre and Post Worker | Rockhampton Binbi Yadubay Residential Rehabilitation Service 📍 Rockhampton, QLD📅 Full-Time Ongoing Position🕒 8:30am - 4:36pm Monday to Friday💰 $105,000 - $110,000 per annum + Super + Salary Packaging Support Recovery. At Binbi Yadubay (Healthy Beginnings), you'll play a vital role in helping people take that first step into residential treatment and supporting them as they transition back into the community with confidence, connection and purpose. Operated by Lives Lived Well and located just north of Rockhampton, Binbi Yadubay provides residential withdrawal and rehabilitation services for adults seeking support with alcohol and other drug challenges. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll support clients before, during and after their treatment journey, helping them build the foundations for lasting change. About the Role As our Pre and Post Worker, you'll coordinate and deliver support for clients entering and exiting the residential program. You'll conduct assessments, facilitate group work, develop support plans and work closely with clients to strengthen their readiness for treatment and long-term recovery. This role combines counselling, case management, care coordination and client advocacy, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and meaningful client engagement. What You'll Be Doing
Conduct client assessments, screening and risk assessments. Support individuals preparing to enter residential treatment. Deliver individual and group-based interventions. Develop recovery-focused support plans. Coordinate referrals and access to community services and supports. Provide transition planning and post-program support. Maintain accurate case notes and client records. Work collaboratively with clinical and residential teams to support positive client outcomes.
About You You may come from alcohol and other drug services, mental health, community services, disability, housing, justice or another human services background. What matters most is your ability to engage people with empathy, professionalism and respect. You'll bring:
Experience in client support, case management or care coordination. Strong assessment, screening and risk management skills. Knowledge of person-centred and trauma-informed practice. Experience using evidence-based approaches to support behaviour change. Demonstrated skills in motivational interviewing or similar therapeutic approaches. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Resilience, emotional intelligence and a calm, non-judgemental approach. Confidence working independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are highly regarded. We also value practical experience, a genuine commitment to helping others and alignment with our organisational values. Essential Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification in a human services discipline (such as Community Services, Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Science or a related field). Current Australian Driver Licence. Ability to obtain a National Police Check.
