About the Role
We are looking for an experienced ERP Tech Lead who is passionate about business solution architecture, domain data modeling, data synchronization, and event-driven integration pipelines. In this role, you will define the core technical strategy connecting Manabie’s ERP ecosystem with feature product domains, ensuring scalable data flows, clean system boundaries, and sustainable enterprise growth.
You will work closely with Engineering stakeholders (Product Domain Leads, ERP Platform Lead, QAs) and Business stakeholders to translate complex business capabilities into robust, decoupled technical architectures.
Responsibilities
Business Alignment & Strategic Solution Architecture
- Business & Product Alignment: Partner closely with Product Management and Partner Success teams to translate strategic enterprise goals, business capabilities, and product roadmaps into scalable technical solutions.
- Requirements Translation & Feasibility: Evaluate business requirements against system capabilities, identifying trade-offs, technical feasibility, build vs. buy choices, and long-term total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Cross-Domain Architecture & Integration: Define end-to-end technical architecture, integration patterns, and API contracts connecting the core ERP platform with product domain teams to deliver seamless user and business workflows.
- Domain Enablement & Guidance: Act as the principal technical advisor to product domain squads, providing architectural reviews, design pattern guidance, and technical sign-offs for complex feature deliverables.
- Architecture Governance & Clean Core: Establish clear domain boundaries and "Clean Core" principles to determine when business logic belongs inside Salesforce vs. external microservices or middleware.
Data Architecture, Modeling & Synchronization Pipelines
- Enterprise Data Modeling: Define unified enterprise data models, master data management (MDM) strategies, and object schemas across Salesforce, external databases, and product domain services.
- Data Sync & Pipeline Architecture: Architect reliable real-time and batch data synchronization pipelines (via Platform Events, Kafka, Webhooks, CDC, or ETL) ensuring data consistency and idempotency across systems.
- Salesforce Architecture Collaboration: Partner with the dedicated ERP platform team on Salesforce data models, integration boundaries, and scalability trade-offs to support multi-product velocity without platform bloat.
- Technical Debt & Decoupling: Continually evaluate cross-system data touchpoints, leading initiatives to refactor legacy sync flows, decouple domain dependencies, and reduce technical debt.
Platform Reliability & Operational Excellence
- Observability & Data Monitoring: Establish unified monitoring, logging, and data auditing metrics across integration pipelines and domain touchpoints.
- Resilience & Incident Management: Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for cross-system sync failures, data discrepancies, or platform disruptions, driving architectural changes to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
Architectural, Data & Domain Breadth
- Experience Level: 8–10+ years in software engineering, with at least 4+ years in an Enterprise Architect, Principal Engineer, or Solution Architect role driving complex, multi-system initiatives.
- Data Architecture & Sync Pipelines: Deep expertise in designing data models, event-driven architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub, AWS EventBridge), CDC (Change Data Capture), asynchronous message queues, and enterprise data sync pipelines.
- Enterprise Integration & APIs: Proven mastery of REST/GraphQL APIs, enterprise integration patterns (EIP), and microservices integration with core ERP systems.
- System Boundaries & Domain-Driven Design (DDD): Proven ability to apply Domain-Driven Design principles to decouple core ERP platforms from fast-evolving feature/product domain applications.
Deep Salesforce & Enterprise Domain Knowledge
- Salesforce Architecture: Solid knowledge of Salesforce architecture, Data Cloud, Integration Cloud, SOQL/SOSL, Platform Events, and security models.
- Core ERP Mechanics: Strong understanding of enterprise business processes (e.g., Quote-to-Cash, Billing, Revenue Recognition, Inventory, Master Data Management).
- Platform Certifications (Nice to Have): Salesforce System Architect or Application Architect certifications preferred.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Cross-Functional Influence: Exceptional ability to communicate complex architectural trade-offs to both technical domain teams and non-technical business stakeholders (Product, QA, Finance, Operations).
- Mentorship & Technical Culture: Proven track record of mentoring staff engineers, senior developers, and squad leads across feature teams to raise architectural standards.
Nice to Have (DevOps & Environment Strategy)
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts, release management, sandbox strategies, and deployment pipelines for integrated enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps tools (GitHub Actions, Copado, Gearset, Jenkins) and environment provisioning practices
Perks
- Competitive salary package, full social insurance.
- 13th-month salary & performance bonus.
- Full 100% salary during a 2-month probation period.
- An opportunity to grow in a fast-developing education technology.
- 14 days of paid leave annually.
- Company health checks every year and private insurance.
