JOB SUMMARY: The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, alcoholic beverages, specialty beverages, and serving food in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This position ensures all products are prepared according to established recipes and quality standards while delivering exceptional guest service. The Barista is responsible for accurately processing guest transactions, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and creating a welcoming environment for guests. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The successful Barista will demonstrate a commitment to providing outstanding guest service while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred. Previous food service, coffee shop, or restaurant experience preferred. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to listen attentively and accurately fulfill guest orders. Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills and the ability to accurately handle cash and process transactions. Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate verbally in English. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Prepare workstations and equipment for daily operations, ensuring all supplies and products are stocked and ready for service.
Greet and acknowledge all guests promptly, professionally, and courteously.
Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, specialty drinks, alcoholic beverages, and other menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders into the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
Deliver food and beverages promptly and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar, service stations, storage areas, and surrounding work areas.
Verify guest age and identification in accordance with company policy and state liquor regulations, and monitor alcohol consumption and exercise responsible beverage service practices, refusing service when appropriate and notifying management as needed.
Account for and reconcile all cash, credit card, comp, and other transactions in accordance with company procedures.
Stock and replenish bar supplies, glassware, garnishes, and inventory as needed to ensure operational readiness.
Comply with all company policies, health and sanitation regulations, safety procedures, and departmental standards.
Other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularly and heavier items with assistance when necessary. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as kitchens, restaurants, bars, coolers, offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, residences, and commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with kitchen equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire, health and safety regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated. The work environment involves exposure to secondhand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
