The posting

The Budget & Finance Ops Specialist, PDO will support the Product Data Operations (PDO) Core and MSL portfolios, a large outsourced vendor expense budget. The role owns the day-to-day procurement operations that keep the portfolio running (POs, invoicing, approvals and contract funding), supports the monthly forecasting and close cycle, and provides contract and rate analysis across vendor base. You will work closely with Finance, Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Operations, central Budget Management and external vendor partners. This role suits someone with a demonstrated budget management and planning background who wants to bring that expertise to a fast-changing operation and help the wider team build the same skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own financial operations across the PDO portfolio: purchase order management, invoice processing and approvals, from request through payment
  • Ensure vendors report and invoice accurately and on time. Track invoice aging and resolve discrepancies and billing queries with vendors and internal partners
  • Monitor contract and PO funding so active work stays covered. Flag funding gaps and top-up needs early
  • Coordinate the central support teams and contingent workers who handle procurement tasks: set clear expectations, follow up, and make sure work gets done correctly
  • Support the month-end close and forecasting cycle on the finance side, partnering with peers who own the forecast inputs, and with Finance
  • Make sure project requests are submitted and all active vendor work is captured accurately in the system of record tooling
  • Run contract and rate analysis across vendors and contracts, and turn the findings into insights that support sourcing and budget decisions
  • Support the Anaplan model used for budget management, including updates and enhancements as requirements change
  • Document procurement and close processes, and identify opportunities to simplify recurring, manual steps
  • Prepare and deliver budget, spend and procurement updates to stakeholders and peers

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in budget management, financial planning and analysis, procurement, resource planning, or a combination of these
  • Experience managing an operational expense budget, including forecasting, month-end close and budget-vs-actuals reconciliation
  • Experience with procurement operations: purchase orders, invoicing and approval workflows
  • Experience analyzing contracts, rates or vendor spend, and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner to various audiences
  • Full proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience in process documentation and iterative process improvement, with attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Self-starter with experience navigating high levels of ambiguity and complexity
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with finance, sourcing, and operations partners to deliver shared outcomes
  • Experience using AI tools or agents to automate finance, procurement or operations workflows
  • Experience using and operating in Anaplan

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience with vendor or outsourced workforce budgets across multiple partners and locations
  • Experience working with global teams
  • Experience with source-to-pay or procurement systems
  • Experience building in Anaplan (model building and maintenance), beyond day-to-day operations
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Knowledge of SQL, Tableau or similar data visualization applications

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
