The posting

Meta is building frontier AI models that generate production-ready software. We're looking for a systems engineer to lead and push this capability toward games and interactive experiences that run smoothly on real devices, respond instantly to input, and adapt to their hardware and platform. Your systems expertise — frame pacing, device optimization, multiplayer networking, cross-platform porting — will directly improve our models by shaping the evaluation and training data we use. As a tech lead, you will drive technical strategy, own roadmaps, and solve the most complex problems in this space.

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical strategy and roadmaps for games and interactive experiences, setting direction for the team and solving the most complex technical challenges in real-time systems
  • Build, optimize, and ship interactive experiences that meet performance targets across frame rate, latency, and resource efficiency on real devices
  • Develop cross-platform and networked real-time solutions that adapt to different hardware capabilities, form factors, and network conditions
  • Create evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, and tooling to assess and improve model-generated experiences
  • Lead cross-functional technical initiatives and mentor engineers through design reviews, technical guidance, and career development
  • Own components or systems end-to-end, from design through production

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience building and shipping games, applications, or interactive experiences to production
  • Experience testing, debugging, and optimizing interactive applications for performance and reliability
  • Experience as a tech lead, driving technical strategy, roadmaps, and solving complex cross-team technical problems
  • Experience with the systems layer of interactive software, such as frame pacing, threading, app lifecycle, or platform integration
  • Programming experience in C++, C#, Kotlin/Java, Swift, or shader languages
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience porting applications across platforms, form factors, or input devices
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience with game engine technology such as Unity or Unreal, or with real-time graphics and shader pipelines
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience building networked real-time or multiplayer experiences
  • Exposure to large language models or generative AI application development
  • Experience building spatial or XR experiences, including sensor-driven input such as hand tracking and gaze
  • Experience with graceful degradation strategies across varied hardware and thermal conditions
  • Experience with performance profiling tools such as RenderDoc, Perfetto, PIX, or Instruments

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
