  • Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and production teams to understand project specifications and translate those into clear procurement requirements.
  • Ensure that all procured goods and services meet the technical specifications and performance standards necessary for product development or production.
  • Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders on procurement progress, potential risks, and supplier issues.
  • Ensure that all procured materials and components meet the organization’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and inspections of supplier products to ensure compliance with technical and quality standards.
  • Manage and maintain certifications for procurement activities in compliance with relevant industry regulations (e.g., ISO, RoHS, UL).
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels of critical materials to meet production demands while avoiding overstocking.
  • Work with logistics and supply chain teams to manage lead times, delivery schedules, and potential bottlenecks in the supply chain.
  • Develop contingency plans for critical supply shortages or disruptions, ensuring continuous supply and minimal impact on production timelines.
  • Identify and assess procurement risks related to supply chain disruptions, quality concerns, or price fluctuations.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, such as sourcing alternative suppliers or creating buffer inventories for critical components.
  • Maintain a flexible and proactive approach to managing procurement challenges and mitigating risks to production.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement and maintain procurement management software, ensuring that all orders, supplier communications, and inventory management are tracked and documented accurately.
  • Identify opportunities to automate procurement functions and streamline workflows.
  • Provide regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, cost savings, and inventory status to senior management.
  • Use procurement analytics and data to identify trends, forecast future procurement needs, and propose improvements to procurement strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to improve their performance and expertise.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture within the procurement team and across departments.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Skills:
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage complex procurement projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
