Als Claims Specialist Letselschade ben je verantwoordelijk voor de inhoudelijke en zelfstandige behandeling van letselschadeclaims binnen een AVB-portefeuille. Je beoordeelt de aansprakelijkheid van bedrijven en andere verzekerden, brengt de omvang en impact van het letsel in kaart en zorgt voor een zorgvuldige en efficiënte afwikkeling van complexe claims.

Je werkt op het snijvlak van juridische beoordeling, schadebehandeling, onderhandelen en relatiebeheer. Je hebt daarbij oog voor zowel het belang van de benadeelde als dat van de verzekerde en verzekeraar. Bij complexe dossiers werk je nauw samen met onder andere advocaten, belangenbehartigers, medisch adviseurs, schaderegelaars en experts.

Verantwoordelijkheden

  • Zelfstandig behandelen van middelgrote tot complexe letselschadeclaims binnen de AVB-portefeuille.
  • Beoordelen van aansprakelijkheid en dekking aan de hand van polisvoorwaarden, wet- en regelgeving en relevante jurisprudentie.
  • Analyseren van de toedracht en beoordelen van de mate van aansprakelijkheid van de verzekerde.
  • Inventariseren en beoordelen van de medische, arbeidsgerelateerde en persoonlijke gevolgen van het letsel.
  • Beoordelen van schadeposten, waaronder verlies aan arbeidsvermogen, medische kosten, huishoudelijke hulp, zelfwerkzaamheid en immateriële schade.
  • Vaststellen en bewaken van adequate schadereserves.
  • Voeren van onderhandelingen met belangenbehartigers en andere betrokken partijen over voorschotten en eindregelingen.
  • Coördineren van externe deskundigen, zoals schaderegelaars, medisch adviseurs en advocaten.
  • Onderhouden van contact met verzekerden en hen adviseren over de behandeling en voortgang van claims.
  • Signaleren en beheersen van juridische, financiële en reputatierisico's binnen dossiers.
  • Herkennen en onderzoeken van mogelijke fraude of andere onregelmatigheden.
  • Zorgdragen voor een correcte, tijdige en klantgerichte dossierbehandeling.
  • Bewaken van portefeuilleontwikkelingen, schadelast en trends en waar nodig hierover rapporteren.
  • Bijdragen aan een consistente en kwalitatief hoogwaardige behandeling van de AVB-portefeuille.

Gewenst profiel

Je bent een ervaren en zelfstandige schadebehandelaar met een sterke juridische en analytische basis. Je kunt complexe aansprakelijkheids- en letselschadedossiers doorgronden en bent in staat om op basis van feiten, juridische kaders en financiële belangen tot een goed onderbouwd standpunt te komen.

Daarnaast beschik je over sterke onderhandelings- en communicatieve vaardigheden. Je kunt goed omgaan met tegengestelde belangen en emotioneel beladen situaties en weet dossiers op een professionele manier naar een oplossing te brengen.
