What You Will Be Working On
Extend and optimise Levande’s data platform, including infrastructure, governance, data models and processing frameworks. Build and maintain production pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes, supporting batch and streaming processing. Strengthen platform availability, security and data quality through monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement. Partner with technology and business teams to translate reporting and analytics needs into solutions and influence system design. Guide vendor delivery, contribute to work priorities and help business teams build their confidence in using data.
Occasional support outside normal working hours may be required to respond to urgent issues. What Type Of Person Will Be Successful You bring strong engineering judgement, enjoy solving complex problems and explain technical decisions clearly. You’re comfortable adapting to changing needs and influencing others while staying close to delivery. You’ll bring:
Extensive data engineering experience, ideally 10 or more years, with expert SQL and data integration skills. Experience building and maintaining production pipelines, metadata-driven frameworks, enterprise data warehouses and data lakes, including batch and streaming environments. The ability to design, scale and monitor secure, resilient and high-performing data systems. Working knowledge of Databricks, Airflow, Spark, databases, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines, plus ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica or Fivetran. Experience contributing to technical architecture, explaining design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and delivering within Scrum or Kanban teams.
Experience with dbt, Python, Java or Scala would be an advantage, alongside cloud experience across Azure, Google Cloud or AWS and awareness of AI and machine learning.
