Company Overview NACOS Marine delivers advanced navigation, automation, and control systems for vessels worldwide. Our integrated solutions help ship owners and operators improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability at sea. With proven reliability, innovative technology, and dedicated support, we enable smarter maritime operations. Let's shape the future of maritime technology together.

Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Engineer (m/f/d) to support commercial growth within our sales team. In this role, you will support the management of defined customer opportunities while developing your commercial expertise and customer relationships.

You will work closely with the Sales Manager and internal stakeholders, focusing on a defined customer portfolio and a number of well-defined sales opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, has a positive can-do attitude, and wants to build a career in technical sales within the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support a defined portfolio of customers and routine sales opportunities under guidance
  • Assist with customer communication, follow-ups, and account development activities
  • Support the preparation of quotations, proposals, and sales presentations
  • Maintain accurate customer information, quotation logs, and CRM records
  • Develop an understanding of customer requirements, products, and solutions
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Product Management, Service, and other internal teams to support customer opportunities
  • Participate in customer meetings and visits together with experienced sales colleagues
  • Support pipeline development and follow-up on open sales opportunities
  • Develop commercial, product, and negotiation skills with the support of the Sales Manager

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Sales, or a related field; equivalent education or experience is also considered
  • Interest in developing a career in sales and customer-facing activities
  • Good communication and active listening skills
  • Basic understanding of technical products and customer needs
  • Positive, proactive, and willing to learn
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with customers, colleagues, and supporting functions
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; CRM experience is an advantage
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Experience in the maritime industry with shipowners, shipyards, marine equipment suppliers, or related technical sectors is a distinct advantage, though not essential
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally for customer meetings and industry events

Why choose us and why we'd choose you? At NACOS Marine, you'll become part of a global organization delivering innovative maritime technology solutions to customers around the world. You'll work alongside experienced Sales, Engineering, Product, and Service colleagues, gaining hands-on experience and building the skills needed for a successful career in technical sales. We value curiosity, collaboration, initiative, and continuous learning. We're looking for someone with a can-do attitude who is eager to learn, enjoys working with customers, and wants to grow into a successful sales professional.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
