The posting

Reports to: Creative Lead Location: Remote (Canada); West Coast preferred or PST hours required.

About the role

NETGEAR is building an in-house creative team to own campaign, web, and social work end to end. The team is small on purpose: a Creative Lead, a UI Designer, a Graphic Designer, and a copywriter.

This work supports the Consumer-facing side of NETGEAR. You will be the main person responsible for execution and production across what the team makes: web assets, social, paid ads, campaign work, email templates, retail signage, and event booth graphics. In a given month you might move from a paid social set to a booth graphic to a product landing page.

Everything runs to established NETGEAR brand guidelines. The craft is in making distinctive work within those rules rather than around them.

You will also work with the Creative Lead on campaign concepts and help shape where the brand goes next. We are looking for someone who brings ideas, not only someone who executes them well.

What you will do

- Design assets across web, social, paid ads, email templates, campaign work, retail signage, event graphics, and sales collateral, working from briefs and alongside the UI Designer and Creative Lead.

- Contribute creative ideas. Bring concepts into campaign discussions with the Creative Lead, and propose directions of your own.

- Adapt campaign concepts into full asset sets across formats, sizes, and channels.

- Work to NETGEAR brand guidelines across everything you produce, applying them consistently and helping extend the system as new needs come up.

- Prepare and hand off production-ready files for both screen and print.

- Use AI tools as a working part of your process, for ideation, iteration, and production. Fluency is welcome, but a genuine interest in the tools and a willingness to build them into how you work matters more. What we do expect is the judgment to recognize when AI output falls short of the standard required and needs to be reworked by hand.

- Collaborate directly with project stakeholders across marketing, product, and web, and incorporate their feedback into revisions.

- Work closely with our Sr. Integrated Marketing Manager, who is responsible for global campaigns, so that what you produce fits the wider campaign plan.

What we are looking for

- 4+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in-house or brand-side. Consumer tech, DTC, or ecommerce experience is a strong plus.

- A portfolio showing volume and range, not just showpiece work. We want to see campaign systems, social sets, and web assets, and hear what the constraints were.

- Strong fluency in Figma. Most of our digital assets are designed there, so this is the tool you will spend most of your time in. Solid Adobe Creative Cloud skills alongside it.

- Strong interest in AI, backed by practical experience using it in a design workflow. You should be following how the tools are developing, testing new ones as they appear rather than reading about them, and bringing back what actually works.

- A sharp eye for detail. Spacing, alignment, typography, and colour handled precisely, and errors caught before they reach a stakeholder or a printer.

- Ideas of your own. We want to see concept thinking in your portfolio, not only well-executed versions of someone else’s direction.

- Comfortable working to an existing brand system rather than reinventing one per project.

- A positive, curious attitude and a real appetite for learning. We support training on new tools, AI in particular.

- Reliable under a queue. You can hold several projects at different stages and keep the status visible without being chased.

Nice to have

- Video and motion. This is a direction we want to push, and the role may grow toward it over time, but we are hiring a designer, not a videographer. Any motion or editing experience is a real benefit, and familiarity with AI video and editing tools is especially so.

- Print production experience: bleed, colour profiles, and preparing files to a printer’s spec. Useful from day one, but we can teach it if the rest is there.

- Experience working alongside a design system or component library.

How we work

Fully remote, PST hours. The team works from a shared project board in monday.com http://monday.com and in short review cycles rather than long agency-style handoffs. You will have direct access to the Creative Lead and to stakeholders, and you are expected to use it.

Tooling is provided, including Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and a Magnific seat, so you are not funding your own AI tools. We support training on new tools, particularly AI.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
