DEINE MISSION & HERAUSFORDERUNGEN

- Verantwortung für das Ergebnis am Roboter: Du treibst die Entwicklung kognitiver Robotik-Anwendungen mit Physical AI und der NeuraGym-Plattform voran. Du verantwortest das Ergebnis auf dem Roboter beim Kunden, nicht nur das Modell im Repo.

- Training & Fine-Tuning modernster Modelle: Du machst aus Foundation Models produktionsreife Roboterintelligenz. Dafür setzt du die komplette NeuraGym-Pipeline um, von Teleoperation und Datenannotation über Training und Simulation bis zu Deployment und Validierung, jeweils zugeschnitten auf reale Robotik-Anwendungen.

- Modelle performant auf den Roboter bringen: Du bringst Policies vom Checkpoint in die Echtzeit-Regelung im geschlossenen Regelkreis. Dazu gehören Distillation, Quantisierung, Action Chunking, Latenzbudgets und On-Device- bzw. Edge-Inferenz, immer unter den Taktzeit- und Zuverlässigkeitsanforderungen des Kunden.

- Das Gesicht von NeuraGym für unsere Kunden: Du bist der zentrale technische Ansprechpartner für Kunden, die Physical AI einführen. Du baust vertrauensvolle Beziehungen auf, verstehst ihre Anwendungen und begleitest sie vom Kickoff bis zur Übergabe.

- Hands-on Robotik: Du arbeitest direkt an MAiRA, MiPA, LARA und unseren humanoiden Plattformen, gemeinsam mit interdisziplinären Engineering-Teams. Deine Themen sind Endeffektoren und Werkzeugwechsler, Auswahl und Montage von Sensoren, Kalibrierung, elektrische und Feldbus-Schnittstellen sowie die mechanische Realität der Zelle.

- Customer Champions aufbauen: Du befähigst Schlüsselpersonen beim Kunden, ihre eigenen Kolleginnen und Kollegen zu schulen. So werden unsere Kunden eigenständig.

- Customer Enablement & Support: Du begleitest Nutzer beim Onboarding auf NeuraGym. Du prüfst Trainingspipelines und Skripte, erkennst Probleme in der Datenqualität, analysierst das Modellverhalten und löst hartnäckige Blocker direkt vor Ort.

- Bereichsübergreifende Zusammenarbeit: Du bist eine zentrale Schnittstelle zwischen dem Cloud- und dem AI-Team. Du sorgst für reibungslose Zusammenarbeit, technische Abstimmung und effiziente Problemlösung über Fachgrenzen hinweg.

- Evaluation & Zuverlässigkeit: Du baust Eval-Harnesses, Success-Rate-Benchmarks und Regressionstests auf. Sie entscheiden, ob eine Policy bereit für die Übergabe ist, und machen Fehlerbilder sichtbar, bevor der Kunde sie entdeckt.

- Feedback-Schleife für Produkt & Forschung: Du übersetzt Erfahrungen aus dem Feld und Kundeneinblicke in konkretes Feedback für die NeuraGym-Produkt-Roadmap und die NEURA Core-AI-Roadmap.

WAS DU MITBRINGST

- Master oder Promotion in Informatik, Robotik, Elektrotechnik oder einem vergleichbaren Fach.

- Praktische Machine-Learning-Erfahrung in der Robotik: Du bist stark in mindestens einem der Bereiche vision-basierte Manipulation, Reinforcement/Imitation Learning oder multimodale Modelle und hast Lust, dir den Rest anzueignen.

- Nachweisbare Erfahrung im Fine-Tuning großer vortrainierter Modelle für Robotik oder eine andere Domäne: PEFT/LoRA und Full Fine-Tunes, Datensatz-Kuratierung, Distillation und Evaluation. Kenntnisse im offenen VLA- und Policy-Learning-Ökosystem (z. B. π0/π0.5, OpenVLA, LeRobot, Diffusion Policies) sind ein großes Plus.

- Sehr gute Python-Kenntnisse (C++ von Vorteil) und praktische Erfahrung mit PyTorch oder TensorFlow.

- Nachweisbare Erfahrung in technischen Rollen mit Kundenkontakt (z. B. Solution Engineering, Field AI Engineering, technische Beratung), auch mit mehreren Kunden parallel.

- Fundiertes Verständnis von Roboter-Hardware: Antriebe und Gelenkmodule, Drehmomentsensorik und Encoder, Endeffektoren, Sensorintegration, Kalibrierung, elektrische und Feldbus-Schnittstellen (z. B. EtherCAT) sowie Konzepte der funktionalen Sicherheit. Vor Ort kannst du damit ein Modellproblem von einem Maschinenproblem unterscheiden.

- Ausgeprägte Problemlösungskompetenz, die Fähigkeit, mehrere Projekte parallel zu steuern, sowie ein starker Umsetzungswille und hohes persönliches Engagement. Du nimmst Deployments persönlich, lässt dich von Rückschlägen nicht aufhalten und misst dich daran, was beim Kunden läuft.

- Du kommunizierst klar und übersetzt zwischen Forschenden, Ingenieurinnen und Ingenieuren sowie Endanwendern. Du sprichst gut Englisch und Deutsch (Niveau B2–C1).

- Bereitschaft zu häufigen Reisen zu Kunden und NeuraGyms (ca. 40–60 %).
