Director of Technology, Ad Tech

Location: Argentina Reports to: Chief Technology & Product Officer

About Adprime

Adprime Media is a vertically integrated advertising technology company headquartered in New York. Our platform spans a demand-side platform, a programmatic ad exchange, audience, data, and ad products, and campaign intelligence. We work with agencies, brands, and publishers across performance and healthcare verticals, and we are building an AI-first engineering and operations culture.

The Role

Adprime is hiring a Director of Technology to lead engineering execution across our platform. The Director of Technology will work directly with the CTPO to shape technical strategy, then own turning that strategy into delivered software through our distributed engineering team.

This is not a process management role. The ideal candidate will need the technical depth to evaluate architecture proposals on their merits, reject weak designs with a better alternative in hand, and produce solution designs yourself when the situation calls for it. Their leverage comes from judgment: the team produces options, you make sure the right one ships.

What The Director of Technology Will Do:

  • Partner with the CTPO on technology strategy and translate strategic direction into concrete architecture proposals and implementation plans
  • Review solution designs and architecture proposals from the engineering team; approve, reject with a clear alternative, or refine
  • Own delivery end to end: sprint planning, ticket definition, scope control, and accountability for committed timelines
  • Manage a distributed engineering team of nine engineers across backend, full stack, data, QA, and ML through an on-the-ground engineering lead
  • Establish measurable progress reporting so leadership always knows what is shipping, what is at risk, and why
  • Raise the engineering bar: solution design quality, code review discipline, documentation, and testing standards
  • Work with product management to turn requirements into scoped, sequenced engineering work
  • Champion AI-assisted development practices across the team

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years leading engineering teams
  • Hands-on experience building or operating advertising technology systems: bidders, exchanges or SSPs, ad servers, or real-time auction infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem: OpenRTB, supply chain standards (ads.txt, sellers.json, schain), identity, and measurement
  • Strong data engineering fluency: high-volume pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics infrastructure; AWS experience
  • A track record of managing distributed or offshore teams and getting reliable output across timezones
  • The ability to switch between strategic discussion with executive leadership and detailed technical review with engineers
  • Excellent written and spoken English

What Success Looks Like

  • Within six months, the CTPO is out of the day-to-day engineering loop. Architecture decisions are made quickly and well, sprints ship what they commit to, and delivery timelines are trusted by the rest of the company.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
