The posting

Binnen het up-to-date team help je het team om van applicatie naar platform te gaan voor alle communicatie naar NN pensioen klanten.

Wat je gaat doen

Je werkt in een team dat de applicatie Pubs beheert en verder ontwikkeld. Pubs is een Java EE applicatie met een Primefaces/JSF front-end die draait op een Websphere omgeving met een Oracle back-end. De applicatie wordt nu gebruikt voor alle grote publicaties binnen Pensioen, denk bijv. aan de Uniforme Pensioen Overzichten (2.5 miljoen polissen per jaar). De afdeling heeft de keuze gemaakt om alle documenten en communicatie over Pubs te gaan maken en ook andere afdelingen bij NN willen het platform gaan gebruiken. Er is dus veel vraag!

Als Java developer bij Up-to-date ga je:

  • In JavaEE innovatieve oplossingen ontwikkelen, waarmee gebruikers sneller en efficiënter hun werk te laten doen
  • Bestaande software transformeren naar een self-service platform. Denk hierbij aan het generieker maken van de applicatie, integreren met anders systemen, user access management en verder automatiseren
  • Het team doet build and run, dus alles wat je ontwikkeld moet goed onderhoudbaar en goed overdraagbaar zijn

Wat je meebrengt

  • Ervaring als JavaEE ontwikkelaar en ervaring met Typescript
  • Ervaring met de huidige technieken (JPA, JAX, JSF/Primefaces)
  • Ervaring met toekomstige technieken (Open liberty, AWS/K8S)
  • Voldoende SQL-kennis om basic (Oracle) queries te lezen en maken en je hebt kennis van Azure DevOps en Git
  • Sterke analytische skills, waarmee je issues snel doorgrondt. Vervolgens vind je de juiste mensen om het op te lossen

Met wie je werkt

We zijn een club betrokken professionals, met veel ervaring. Het team bestaat uit 5 Javanen en 5 verschillende andere specialismen. Het team krijgt energie van het realiseren van zaken, iets opleveren, echt iets bijdragen. We werken zelfstandig en zijn nieuwsgierig. We staan veel in contact met elkaar en de business, via schermdeling, maar ook wekelijks op kantoor in Amsterdam. We werken deels Scrum en deels Kanban, wat betekent dat we superflexibel te werk gaan. Wel geeft het de nodige tijdsdruk, dus het is relaxed als je dat goed kan handelen. We testen onderling elkaars werk, ook buiten ons eigen focusgebied, en dat houdt ons scherp. We werken vanuit onze eigen kracht en kunde en leren veel van elkaar. Dat komt omdat we oprecht luisteren naar ieders mening. Je ervaart veel vrijheid en flexibiliteit in ons team. Zo bepaal je zelf je uren, maar ben je ook bereid om af en toe een stapje extra te zetten.
