The posting

Estimator Overview

The Estimator provides dedicated back-office estimating support across the sales andoperations teams. The primary focus of this role is to turn inspection data into complete, accurate, pricing-ready proposals, covering materials, labor, scope of work, subcontractor costs, and margins.

The Estimator serves as the link between the field inspectors and the sales team. The individual will receive the information and photos gathered by inspectors on site, build the full estimate in the estimating software, and return finalized estimates to sales and operations promptly, so salespeople can follow up with customers while opportunities are stillwarm. This is a desk-based role with no site visits and no customer-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inspection Review and Scope of Work

  • Review inspection details, notes, and photos submitted by field inspectors. Understand the construction components involved and define a clear, accurate scope of work for each job.
  • Confirm the inspection data is complete enough to build an estimate, and flag missing information or unusual site conditions before finalizing.

2. Material Pricing and Research

  • Research and look up current material pricing using estimating software that integrates with Home Depot and other suppliers.
  • Apply catalog pricing accurately and verify material costs against supplier data. Keep pricing and supplier information up to date.

3. Labor and Subcontractor Costing

  • Determine labor costs, crew requirements, and hourly rates for each task in the scope of work. Identify and price subcontractor costs where work falls outside in-house capability.
  • Compare labor and subcontractor costs against current rates to keep estimates competitive and realistic.

4. Estimate Building and Margins

  1. Build complete, pricing-ready estimates and proposals inside the estimating software, with materials, labor, scope, and pricing clearly laid out.
  • Apply the appropriate company margins and markups to produce final customer pricing. Review every estimate for accuracy and completeness before release.

5. Delivery and Team Coordination

  • Return finalized estimates to the sales and operations teams within agreed turnaround times.
  • Communicate clearly with inspectors and salespeople to clarify scope, answer questions, and handle revisions. Keep sales informed on estimate status so customer follow-up is never delayed.

6. Systems, Records, and Process

  • Maintain organized records of every estimate produced, including the inspection data it was based on. Use the estimating software and related tools effectively, learning new systems andfeatures as the company's tools evolve.
  • Recommend practical improvements to estimating workflows and templates to help the team move faster and stay consistent.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience as an estimator in construction, remodeling, restoration, or home services.
  • Working knowledge of construction labor rates, hourly wages, and material costs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, email, shared drives, and messaging tools for receiving inspection data and submitting completed estimates.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy when preparing estimates.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to clarify missing information, flag discrepancies, and provide clear, accurate estimates to the sales and operations teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines and turnaround targets.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to work across multiple software platforms and learn new tools quickly.
  • Proficiency in estimating software, preferably Builder, including the ability to use its Home Depot integration to retrieve real-time material pricing.

Compensation & Benefits Package:

  • TBD - based on experience
  • 10 Paid Days Off (Approved same day or next day by HR)
  • 6 Paid Holidays (Based on Filipino Holidays)
  • HMO
  • Independent Work Environment

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
