Location

Dragoon, AZ | 100% On-Site | Monday through Friday, Day Shift

Join our team in southeastern Arizona, where you'll combine meaningful fieldwork with leadership responsibilities at an active mining operation. This position offers a competitive annual salary of $140,000 to $175,000, depending on experience.

Note

Qualified candidates must have 5+ years of environmental compliance and permitting experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry, including 2+ years of environmental program leadership, supervision, or management experience. Experience managing environmental permits and regulatory compliance programs is essential.

Job Description

As our Environmental Manager, you'll lead environmental compliance, permitting, and sustainability initiatives while helping our operations meet regulatory requirements and environmental goals.

  • Lead and manage environmental compliance programs, permitting activities, inspections, and regulatory reporting.
  • Oversee groundwater, surface-water, stormwater, and process-water monitoring programs.
  • Manage environmental permits, renewals, modifications, and relationships with regulatory agencies.
  • Direct air quality, waste management, spill prevention, and environmental protection initiatives.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop environmental team members while coordinating external consultants and contractors.
  • Conduct environmental assessments, investigate compliance issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support mine expansion projects, reclamation planning, and environmental improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with operations and senior leadership to promote responsible environmental practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of environmental compliance and permitting experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry.
  • 2+ years of environmental program leadership, supervision, or management experience.
  • Experience managing environmental permits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reporting.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations related to water quality, air emissions, and waste management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field, or equivalent technical education and substantial relevant experience.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Dragoon, Arizona.
