Join our collaborative finance team in Nashville! This is an in-office opportunity for local professionals who value teamwork, mentorship, and career advancement. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.

Note

We're seeking a Nashville-based CPA with 2+ years of Big 4 external audit experience, working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition, and a genuine interest in transitioning into industry accounting.

Job Description

As our Senior Accountant, you'll partner with finance leadership to ensure accurate reporting, strengthen accounting processes, and contribute to the continued success of our organization.

  • Own key month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Apply U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition principles to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Review revenue accounts, deferred revenue, and unbilled balances to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses to support informed business decisions.
  • Coordinate audit documentation, prepare workpapers, and partner with finance leadership on accounting matters.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate across the finance team while developing the skills needed for future accounting leadership roles.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of external audit experience with a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • CPA designation required.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and solve accounting challenges.
  • Interest in transitioning into industry accounting and growing toward a Controller-level career.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
