The posting

We’re on the hunt for a sharp, business-minded Compliance and Commercial Legal Counsel to help Overwolf and its affiliates move fast, manage legal and compliance risks, and make the most of our in-house AI tools.

As our Legal Pathfinder, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day commercial and compliance matters, support teams across the business, and put these tools to work to make legal operations smarter, faster, and more scalable. From commercial agreements to evolving regulations, you’ll help us navigate the legal landscape without slowing down the adventure.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Own day-to-day commercial agreements, including NDAs, vendor agreements, insertion orders (IOs), influencer agreements, and data processing agreements (DPAs).
  • Manage compliance operations, including DPIAs, KYC processes, privacy reviews, and compliance questionnaires.
  • Monitor relevant regulatory developments and implement compliance procedures covering GDPR, DSA, COPPA, OFAC, and AI regulation.
  • Maintain and improve legal policies, templates, playbooks, and internal guidance.
  • Support business teams through legal training, check-ins, and an efficient legal intake process.
  • Leverage AI tools as your default approach to legal drafting, reviews, and operational workflows, while helping build and improve these tools over time.
  • Gradually take ownership of more complex commercial and strategic legal matters.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of legal experience, ideally including ownership of compliance workstreams.
  • LLB or equivalent law degree and relevant legal qualification.
  • Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Solid understanding of privacy and technology regulation, particularly GDPR.
  • Experience working in-house, on secondment, or at a law firm supporting fast-moving technology companies.
  • Proficiency and confidence in using AI tools as part of everyday legal work.
  • Practical, business-oriented mindset with strong ownership, prioritization, and communication skills.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with DSA and COPPA regulations.
  • Experience in gaming, adtech, payments, fintech, or other technology-driven environments.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulations, tricky contracts, and the occasional rogue coffee machine.
