Glilot Hybrid Full-time
As a Payment Operations Specialist, you will sit at the heart of Payoneer’s global cards and payments operation, helping ensure that millions of transactions are processed accurately, reliably, and on time.
You will own key operational processes across card issuing and transaction processing, work closely with Mastercard, banking partners, and processors, and play an important role in identifying issues, improving operational performance, and supporting the launch of new card products and capabilities.
What you'll do:
- Own day-to-day card and payment processing operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls and card scheme requirements
- Monitor transaction flows across card schemes, processors, and banking partners, proactively identifying and resolving operational exceptions
- Serve as a key operational point of contact for banks, Mastercard, and processing partners
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, failed transactions, chargebacks, reconciliation issues, and settlement breaks
- Monitor operational KPIs, SLAs, and partner performance, identifying trends and escalating risks when needed
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Customer Support to resolve issues and support new product and market launches
- Drive continuous improvement and automation across payment operations processes, procedures, and controls
- Maintain clear operational documentation and help improve scalability and efficiency across the cards operation
Who you are:
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in payment operations, card operations, card issuing, or a related operational role within a fintech, bank, processor, or payments company
- Hands-on experience managing card issuing or card processing operations end-to-end
- Strong understanding of the cards and payments ecosystem, including issuing, card schemes such as Mastercard and Visa, processors, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation
- Hands-on experience with transaction processing, reconciliation, exception handling, and operational issue resolution
- Experience working directly with banking partners, card schemes, or processors in an operational capacity
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, R&D, Finance, Business, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and comfort working with large volumes of transactional data
- Strong Excel skills; experience with SQL or BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Advantage:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Experience with ISO 8583 messaging standards
- Understanding of authorization, clearing, and transaction matching processes
- Knowledge of 3DS authentication flows
- Experience with digital wallet solutions such as MDES
- Understanding of interchange fee calculations
- Familiarity with Mastercard products such as Debit, Prepaid, Credit, Travel, World Elite, Stablecoin, and Employee Card programs
