Reconciliation Bookkeeper

Role Summary
You will join Payoneer's Reconciliation team in Petah Tikva, the team that owns controls, the monthly review, and the financial close across Payoneer's operational activity. This isn't classic bookkeeping: our journal entries are almost fully automated, so your focus is on making sure the numbers add up across high-volume accounts, systems, and payment flows. You'll investigate mismatches, work with operational teams and global reconciliation teams to resolve them, and help keep our controls SOX-ready. It's a great fit if you're analytical, quick to learn, and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform daily and periodic reconciliations across accounts, systems, and payment flows, accurately and on time
- Support the monthly review and quarterly close by preparing, validating, and documenting reconciliation data
- Investigate discrepancies to their root cause and open tickets with the relevant teams to resolve them
- Work with operational departments and global reconciliation teams, including our team in India
- Support internal controls and audits, including SOX-related documentation
- Flag operational or system risks and suggest process and automation improvements
- Juggle multiple tasks and systems under tight month-end deadlines without compromising quality
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, accounting, or a related field
- 1-4 years of experience in reconciliation, finance operations, or a finance department
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, and working with large datasets
- Comfortable working hands-on in financial systems; ERP experience is an advantage
- Very strong written and verbal English, for daily work with global teams
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to draw conclusions and act on them
- Flexible and resilient under pressure, able to switch between tasks and help teammates
- Proactive, quick learner who raises red flags and shares feedback on what can work better
- Experience in fintech, payments, or a high-tech company is an advantage
