Full-Stack Software Developer – EVRAA Platform

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Work Setup: Hybrid Location: Makati City, Philippines Client Support: Australia

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Full-Stack Software Developer to join an offshore development team responsible for accelerating the development of EVRAA, a proprietary software platform built to support insurance claims, job management, and financial workflows.

EVRAA is a business-critical platform designed to support the client's operational processes, including the work of offshore coordinators. Completing and enhancing the platform is a key priority, as its functionality will enable greater efficiency across other phases of the business's operating model.

Working under the direction of the client's onshore IT Manager and technical lead, you will contribute to feature development, bug fixing, testing, documentation, and ongoing platform improvements. You will work against a defined product backlog, collaborate with the wider technical team, and help increase development capacity while maintaining quality, security, and reliability.

This is an opportunity to join a growing offshore development team, contribute to a core business platform, and work closely with an Australian-based team in a long-term, permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development and Enhancement

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain EVRAA features based on an agreed product backlog, technical direction, and defined acceptance criteria.
  • Build and maintain application functionality supporting insurance claims, job management, and financial workflows.
  • Deliver feature development and system enhancements in line with agreed priorities and sprint objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and support APIs and system integrations as required.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code in accordance with established development standards.

Bug Fixing and Quality Assurance

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and application issues.
  • Perform bug fixes, unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing to maintain application stability.
  • Identify potential risks, technical issues, and opportunities to improve application performance and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to maintain code quality and consistency.
  • Support testing and deployment activities to ensure changes are delivered safely and effectively.

Collaboration and Delivery

  • Work closely with the onshore IT Manager, technical lead, and relevant operational stakeholders.
  • Participate in sprint planning, development discussions, code reviews, and delivery activities.
  • Translate technical requirements and acceptance criteria into practical development solutions.
  • Provide regular updates on progress, technical blockers, and delivery risks.
  • Maintain technical documentation, release notes, and system change records.
  • Follow established processes for source code management, version control, testing, and deployment.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and stabilisation of EVRAA.
  • Recommend practical improvements to existing features, workflows, and technical processes.
  • Help improve delivery speed while maintaining software quality and maintainability.
  • Support the development of a scalable, reliable platform that can accommodate evolving business requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer, Software Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Experience developing and maintaining web-based applications across front-end and back-end components.
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages, frameworks, and development tools.
  • Experience developing and maintaining APIs and system integrations.
  • Strong understanding of software development practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience with unit, integration, and regression testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile or sprint-based software development methodologies.
  • Experience working with databases and data-driven applications.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work from an established backlog and deliver features against clearly defined acceptance criteria.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with an offshore team and an Australian-based technical lead.

Working Structure and Technical Leadership

The offshore development team will work under the direction of the client's retained onshore IT Manager and technical lead.

The onshore technical lead will be responsible for product direction, backlog ownership, prioritisation, code review, release management, architecture decisions, security, and insurer integrations.

The offshore team will focus on delivering development work against the defined backlog, including feature development, bug fixing, testing, and technical documentation. Developers will collaborate with the onshore team to ensure deliverables meet agreed requirements and technical standards.

What We're Looking For

  • A hands-on developer who takes ownership of assigned development tasks.
  • Someone comfortable working within an established product backlog and technical framework.
  • A proactive problem-solver who can independently investigate defects and recommend solutions.
  • A team player who welcomes code reviews and technical feedback.
  • Someone who understands the importance of documentation, testing, and maintainable code.
  • A developer who can balance delivery speed with software quality and reliability.
  • Someone comfortable collaborating with an Australian-based team and communicating progress, blockers, and technical considerations.

What's on Offer?

  • Full-time, permanent employment.
  • Hybrid work arrangement based in Makati City.
  • Opportunity to work directly with an Australian client.
  • The chance to contribute to the development of a proprietary platform supporting core business operations.
  • Collaboration with an experienced onshore IT Manager and technical lead.
  • Exposure to ongoing product development, system enhancements, and real-world business workflows.
  • An opportunity to contribute to a growing offshore development function and make a tangible impact on software delivery.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
