We:

  • Put customers first and strive to exceed expectations
  • Embrace change and adapt quickly
  • Take accountability for our work and our outcomes
  • Value trust, respect, and follow-through
  • Focus on meaningful results, not just chasing numbers

Here, you’ll find purpose, ownership, and a team that values progress over perfection.

Our Core Values

Our values shape our vision, products, culture, and customer success:

Do Right by Others Have people’s backs. Be someone others can rely on.

Improve Every Time We don’t do the same work the same way twice. We constantly streamline, simplify, and automate so each iteration is faster and better.

Be All-In — and Be Honest We act in the best interest of PeopleJoy’s mission and long-term success. We show up fully, take responsibility, and raise our hands early if something feels out of alignment.

Win Together We prioritize team success over individual comfort, take feedback with humility, and step into whatever role helps the team win today.

Grit We commit to long-term goals with resilience and discipline, pushing through obstacles even when progress feels slow.

About This Opportunity

As a Product Manager for our Advisory platform, you'll be critical in owning our product's journey. In this role, you’ll be working closely with the senior leadership to understand the problem we are solving and why, understanding and prioritizing customer needs, making sure the team builds the right thing, in the right order, sprint by sprint. This means long hours and occasionally unrecognized efforts to overcome challenging product hurdles and deliver results. Your work will be instrumental in building and scaling the product—and ultimately, the company’s success.

Job Details

Title: Product Manager

Compensation: $85,000 - $90,000 (plus equity and benefits)

Reports To: Senior Product Manager

Location: Remote, but plan to come to our Philadelphia office a few times a year for whiteboard sessions.

Job Type: Full-Time

Benefits: Medical, Dental, 401k, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance.

What does a Product Manager do, anyway? In plain terms, this usually means:

  • Help Set the Big Goals: Maintain the advisory roadmap, aligned with company strategy set with the senior leadership team.
  • Learn What Customers Want: Run discovery with borrowers, HR and benefits teams, and client stakeholders to understand what they need. Lead the product side of new client implementations, working with the Account Manager
  • Owns the backlog. Writes, refines, and prioritizes user stories, and makes the call on what goes into each sprint.
  • Work with Different Teams: Work with engineering, design, sales, and client success to deliver and position the product
  • Launch and Track Success: Plan launches, define success metrics, and track adoption and feedback after release.
  • Keep an Eye on Competitors: Monitor competitors and the PSLF policy landscape for changes that affect the product
  • Manage the minutia: Be engineering's day-to-day decision-maker on scope and edge cases so work isn't blocked

If this sounds like you, your previous education, work experience, and passions probably sound like this:

  • You’ve successfully launched features into production and have experience leading teams of various sizes.
  • You’re resourceful, achieving results even with limited resources.
  • Your communication skills are exceptional—you effectively engage with leadership, employees, and customers.
  • You’ve empowered your team by introducing frameworks that enhance their productivity and scalability.
  • You’re analytical and data-driven, always basing decisions on solid insights.
  • You have a deep empathy for users. Poorly designed products that confuse or frustrate users are something you’re determined to avoid.
  • You know how to scope projects and make thoughtful, objective trade-offs when determining which features to prioritize.
  • You’re comfortable saying "no" when necessary but also skilled at reassuring stakeholders—both internal and external—that while we may not be addressing their request today, we’re on the right path and will get there soon.
  • You’ve worked alongside a founder with a strong product mindset, building trust through data-backed decisions and effective relationship management.

Lastly, here’s what success looks like in this position:

  • You consistently set clear, actionable goals for the quarterly product roadmap.
  • You effectively prioritize features that drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • You ensure timely, bug-free feature releases.
  • You regularly track and evaluate OKRs and KPIs for the product, continuously iterating for improvement.
  • You lead weekly product design reviews with all key stakeholders to ensure alignment and prevent any side conversations or decisions outside of the main discussions.
  • You provide consistent, constructive feedback to both development and design teams.
  • You actively support sales by assisting with new deals and renewals.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
