Quality Assurance Senior Manager

Location: Danao, Cebu Work Setup: Onsite Schedule: Monday – Friday

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Senior Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all quality assurance and food safety functions to ensure products consistently meet established quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The role drives continuous improvement, compliance, and operational excellence across all relevant business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement company-wide quality assurance and food safety programs.
  • Review, audit, and evaluate the effectiveness of QA systems and procedures across operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by coordinating with agencies such as FDA, NMIS, BAI, BFAR, and LGUs.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on QA performance, audit findings, and operational status.
  • Conduct audits on suppliers, toll manufacturers, bakeries, and distribution centers, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Address and manage critical quality and food safety issues in a timely manner.
  • Recommend process improvements, equipment upgrades, and facility enhancements to strengthen quality systems.
  • Lead and manage the QA team, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and workforce planning.
  • Optimize team structure, work schedules, and assignments to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Licensed Chemist, Chemical Engineer, or Chemical Technician.
  • Relevant experience in food quality assurance, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Supervisory and people management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Food Science and Technology, including chemistry, microbiology, and analytical testing methods.
  • Experience in implementing Quality Management Systems such as HACCP, ISO, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Familiarity with GMP, GWP, and GLP standards.
  • Preferably residing in or near Danao City, Cebu, or nearby areas.
