  • Collaborate with finance and controllership teams to support revenue approval processes and financial close activities.
  • Maintain audit readiness by ensuring supporting documentation and controls are properly maintained.

Project Financial Management & Margin Analysis

  • Oversee project-level financial performance, including profitability tracking and forecasting activities.
  • Monitor project margins, billability, utilization trends, and cost performance.
  • Identify risks related to margin erosion, cost overruns, and underperforming engagements.
  • Partner with operational and business leaders to implement corrective actions and improve financial outcomes.
  • Support forecasting activities, including Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) reviews and financial performance assessments.

Billing Operations & Revenue Administration

  • Lead billing governance and ensure adherence to established billing processes.
  • Oversee timely and accurate invoice generation in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Review and approve invoices prior to release to customers.
  • Minimize billing delays, invoice disputes, rejected invoices, and unbilled revenue.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy.

Revenue Risk & Leakage Management

  • Monitor unbilled work, work-at-risk activities, and potential revenue leakage.
  • Establish controls to ensure completed work is appropriately captured and billed.
  • Identify contractual or operational issues that may impact revenue realization.
  • Escalate risks proactively and work with stakeholders to implement mitigation plans.

Contract & Commercial Finance Support

  • Review customer contracts to assess pricing structures, billing requirements, and revenue implications.
  • Ensure commercial agreements support accurate revenue recognition and operational execution.
  • Partner with business and legal stakeholders to evaluate contract terms and financial viability.
  • Provide guidance on contract structures that optimize revenue realization and profitability.

Revenue-to-Cash Optimization

  • Collaborate with treasury and collections teams to improve billing-to-cash conversion.
  • Support resolution of billing disputes and customer escalations impacting collections.
  • Monitor revenue realization metrics and identify opportunities to improve cash flow performance.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing outstanding receivables and improving collection cycles.

Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with operational, commercial, finance, and treasury teams to ensure alignment on revenue objectives.
  • Support business leaders with financial insights related to project performance, profitability, and revenue realization.
  • Facilitate regular reviews of revenue performance, billing effectiveness, and margin trends.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on revenue-related risks, opportunities, and compliance requirements.

Reporting & Business Insights

  • Prepare and present revenue performance reports, profitability analysis, billing metrics, and cash conversion insights.
  • Deliver actionable recommendations to leadership based on financial and operational trends.
  • Support management reviews through regular reporting and performance discussions.
  • Develop meaningful KPIs and dashboards to improve visibility into revenue operations.

Process Improvement & Systems Optimization

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across revenue management, billing, and financial processes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and enhanced financial controls.
  • Collaborate with technology and business teams to improve data accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Support system enhancements related to revenue, billing, project accounting, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certifications such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent are preferred.

Experience

  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, project accounting, financial operations, or finance business partnering.
  • Demonstrated experience managing revenue recognition, billing operations, profitability analysis, and financial governance.
  • Experience leading or mentoring finance professionals is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of supporting cross-functional business stakeholders and driving financial performance improvements.

Technical Knowledge

  • Solid commercial and financial acumen, including pricing models, contract management, and margin analysis.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, CRM platforms, project accounting tools, and financial reporting systems.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
